Tamarind Restaurant — Restaurant in Wakefield

My husband enjoyed his starter and main course. I enjoyed my starter. We had to wait half an hour for our main course. I ordered Tandoori 1/2 Chicken (with salad and sauce) the Tandoori chicken was far too over cooked. Black all over! And was not 1/2 a chicken ( maybe it was but was so shrivelled it didn’t look like half a chicken) The salad and sauce did not come with the meal and I had to ask where it was. The waiter came with the rest of the meal and apologised saying that the kitchen weren’t copying well that evening!

At the end of the meal we asked for the bill.When it did not arrive we went to the desk. Just as we were given the bill the phone rang and we had to wait until a takeaway order was taken.

To be fair, when I complained to the manager? Owner ? He offered us a refund.

I am not sure that I want to return to...

Went to tamarind restaurant on Saturday with Freinds and family. When we arrived we was welcomed by members of staff we felt the warmth of the welcome which we don't usually see. We were seated in one of the booth, as we entered the booth it felt like we were in paradise, the art Deco and the lovely ligts souronded made us feel so comfortable. When our starter's arrived it was to die for never had such delicious starter's in crofton. Oh my words what can I say the mains were out of this world so tasty and delicious just the right touch . The service was 5* also the waitress Beth was absolutely a star. We met the owner who's called miz he was so down to earth and very friendly , we definitely recommend this restaurant and will be going back every weekend. Had a Take Away meal from Tamarind today whilst up here visiting friends and have to say it was AMAZING!

We ended up here as lots of other takeaways in the area were closed. Turns out this was a lucky break for us!!

Staff were very welcoming when ordering and advised us food would be 25-30 mins and would we like a drink at the bar while we waited. We had a drink and food was cooked and brought to us within the time advised.

When we got food home we found that it was cooked perfectly! All the currys, rice and extras were amazing and tasted wonderful. We were all happy with our choices and also enjoyed tasting each others! There wasn't a bad choice among them!

Can't wait for our next visit to Crofton as its definatly going to have to include another visit to Tamarind!...
