Purchased my friend a chip butty the other day as well as our tea and hot chocolate, we have never had a problem before, but the chips tasted so grease that she left nearly the whole sandwich. She even tried to mask the taste with vinegar, but even that didn't help. I was so disappointed that we left, saying that we would not return. We have been going since we were 17 and are now both 68. Not been here in years,it is still great. The food is homecooked. Still propper chips,you can tell how good it is because it is nearly always busy. The prices have gone up a bit but still not too costly and well worth it to eat good food. The staff are very friendly and they tend to stay working there which shows it must be a nice...

Been in today early lunch,chips tasted of rancid oil, one of staff mopping floors with bleach while I was eating couldn’t eat my lunch for smelling of bleach no need for it other staff sat outside at tables smoking and vaping, all of it was horrendous experience think owner should be aware of this no wonder...
