We have dined at this restaurant so many times over the years when it was La Memos . To step into the same standards , then the new owners should be more than ready to deliver a top service to their customers . Very disappointed at our whole experience last night . Sat upstairs , we had to ask a different waitress for two wine glasses to go with our bottle of wine that we ordered . Our starters was fine . I had to send my main course back to the kitchen as it was burnt underneath . Thirteen minutes later my husband had almost come to the end of his meal . I went down to the kitchen to say I did not want my meal as I was not prepared to sit and eat it on my own like my husband had done . The chef/owner spoke to me inappropriately whilst his wife was trying hard to stop him . He kept speaking to me in an aggressive manner infront of two very young waitresses and a restaurant full of diners . He repeatedly kept shouting that he had cooked me a fresh meal . As i walked away he shouted F off to me . I went back upstairs where he proceeded to follow me still shouting at me. He placed the meal infront of me and started shouting that there are children starving and homeless people and that I was ungrateful. He also said he was under staffed , stressed , very busy , new business etc. I placed the meal on the next table to which he removed still shouting at me whilst other diners are looking on at this unprofessional restaurant owners rash behaviour . He absolutely embarrassed himself. We did ask for the bill out of politene but as it was we did not have to pay anything which we both appreciated . I had to apologise to the other diners who were on the next tables to which they replied that it was not us who should be apologising . The lady owner came and spoke to us and offered us an apology to which we accepted . We emphasised that she was not to blame .The chef needs to have customer relationship lessons if he wants to run an established business . We will not be dining here again. Thank you for your reply which is hilarious if I'm honest. I was told on the phone that we were seated upstairs . The waitress was quite happy to leave us go to our seats as they were busy. Not once was I rude to the waitresses . Also , I did not shout once at anyone the only person that did the abusive shouting was the chef . I explained that I did not want the meal and the chef just continually kept shouting that he had cooked the meal fresh , he did this non stop at me .I also asked for the bill and was told that there was no payment to be taken off us . That speaks volumes to me that the service we recieved was not appropriate . The lady owner came to apologise for her husbands behaviour and we were very understanding to her for being put in this position . Also , just to finish we did drink 2 bottles of wine and nothing else for the record . Plus we had no plans on entering your restaurant to cause problems . When leaving the restaurant the young waitress said sorry for tonight . That says it all . The only liar in this conversation is the person or persons who is replying to my review . I have written nothing but the truth and you are aware...

I have been to this restaurant many times some years ago, it’s was a regular place to eat as the plaster is homemade and feels very authentic, Italian. The food remains wonderful so fresh, hit and tasty and plenty of it. However the service was very disappointing, a young lad bent over the table to serve rather than walk around, he clearly had no training… not his fault I’m sure, we sat with empty drinks for so long and it felt as though we couldn’t gain eye contact with any servers. The food came out at different times and my son had finished his meal before the rest of us had any food. My bolognaise had no meat and hardly any sauce, just awful today sorry. My husband ordered rump steak med/ rare and arrived med/ well and looked like it was dragged from the back of the fridge, he sent this back and decided not to eat there and just sat while we ate. However in their defence it was busy as there was a food festival on town that day. I felt a little embarrassed that I’d recommended the place as we had visitors from Australia in our group. So...

I note that, following a poor review of this restaurant by Joanne Roberts, a few hours later the owners posted three 5 star reviews. I’m not passing any comment about any negative reviews but I am saying that the owner and his staff should not make reviews about their own establishment as they are NOT paying customers. Domenica Perico is the chef/owners mother, Tyrone Rees is the father and Jessica Evans is his wife. I think this is very dishonest and misleading and we will not be eating at this restaurant again. As well as these fake reviews I note that the chef/owner, John Cangelosi, posted a five star review himself just as they opened the restaurant three weeks ago! You should rely on good cooking and good service to create good reviews. I hope that all the other good reviews are not just from friends and family. Just spotted another new 5 star review, this time from William Cangelosi….. who just happens to be the chef / owners brother. I suggest you remove these reviews before I...

Amazing service and food by Tori and Matt. 4 of us visited midweek (Pre-booked) and downstairs was full on arrival. Tori font of house welcomed us and informed us they were short staffed tonight so apologised and said there will be some delays but thet are working as fast as they can. We were fine and in no rush anyhow. However we found the service time and food arrival to be fine so we had no issues. The quality of the food was amazing and considering they were short staffed this did not reflect on it at all. All 4 of us had amazing food and one of our more particular eaters polished his plate off. Wine was great and the whole evening was fantastic. It’s one of those places you will definitely return to as they menu variations have more than enough choice to make you want to try the rest of the food. A great little gem in Port Talbot that you must try

Fantastic service, very friendly staff, very efficient very helpful. Beautiful atmosphere and deco. Food was absolutely fabulous. My only complaint was I didn't have my portabello mushroom with my steak. Apart from that all the food we ordered was impeccable. Ideal for a romantic dinner. To take anyone you'd like to impress. Money wise it's not cheap, but you pay for what you get don't you. I thought it was very reasonable for the extremely high quality of food received. Highly recommend a visit, guarantee you'll re visit.
