Not for some decades have I had an experience like this in an indian restaurant. Very clean, well laid out. Not on top of each other or crammed in. The server was extremely friendly, had good humour. He seemed he had no where else better to be than to attend to our wishes. Yet didnt harras or bug us. Popadoms and chutney tray was perfect. We made sure to finish off the coconut chutney. The mint yogurt was exceptional and sweeter than others. Our main course arrived with enough different dishes to delight even a maharaja. We had Chicken Shakuti and Garlic chilli chicken. Hot enough to appreciate, not too hot to want to drink a gallon of milk afterwards. Lovely strips of chicken. Very tasty sauce with good thick consistancy. The Garlic rice had huge cloves of garlic in as did the lamb in the Keema rice. Peshwari naan bread was one of the best ive ever tasted. I was gutted i couldnt use the bread to mop up the last of the sauce as i just couldnt fit anymore food in my tummy. A hot towel and an after eight later and we had to leave to catch a train. This place is seriously worth a visit if your a local or even passing on the M4. Stop and go there. You will definitely...
Read moreWe stopped for food at the end of our journey after a walk from Porthcawl, we didn’t have a booking but they squeezed us in despite being busy, a nice two person booth at the back of the restaurant. We had poppadoms while we decided what to order, which were very nice and had loads of sauces and accompaniments with them. We had chicken tikka and lamb tikka starters which were both nice but the lamb was definitely better. For main we had chicken jalfrezi and chicken balti with garlic naan and pilau rice. Both were very nice, the jalfrezi was on the hotter side for a jalfrezi. We also had a bottle of the Marques de Caceres Rioja white which was very nice. Overall great food but extremely good value too, it was around £55 without a tip. The staff were also very chatty and welcoming. We had a really enjoyable meal, would thoroughly recommend, thanks for your...
