We had a great meal here, the staff were friendly and able to answer any questions. We ordered our drinks which quickly arrived and was nicely chilled. We then ordered our food, garlic bread and tempura chicken to start, then the collier burger and a lamb curry with half and half. The starters were tasty and piping hot. Once we had finished our starters, crockery was taken away and our mains arrived shortly after. Please be warned that the portions are incredibly generous as the pictures show. The collier burger had a southerner fried chicken fillet at the base, then cheese and thick cut bacon, a beef burger topped again with cheese and thick cut bacon finished with an onion ring in a bun. All components were super tasty but all together was amazing and tasty. All served with homemade chips which were freshly made, crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The lamb curry was very tasty and packed with tender lamb chunks which fell apart effortlessly. Served with rice and chips, although the title of half and half didn't cover it as there was plenty of each to comfortable be a whole! Again, the chips were crisp and non-greasy as only fresh chips can. Unfortunately, we had no space for pudding but I have no doubt they would have been amazing. Our whole meal came to just under £35, a real bargain! We would definitely recommend Colliers and will undoubtedly visit again when...
Read moreFabulous Sunday lunch here. I’d ordered Beef and it was absolutely delicious and so tender. There was a copious amount of food and it included Cauliflower Cheese, which I adore and it was so tasty. The lunch came with extra gravy which was a lovely touch as I hadn’t ordered it.
The pub itself make their customers feel so welcome. Angela (the Chef), Steve (the owner) and Victoria are such lovely people and go the extra mile to ensure you’re a happy customer at all times and there’s always good craic in the pub. The beer is very reasonably priced and the decor is very appealing.
Whether you’re just popping in for a drink or having food, I highly recommend The Colliers.
10/10 from me.
Thanks...
