Waited about 30 minutes for "fresh" fish and chip special, a salad and 2 kids meals. Somehow the kids chips was piping hot and the £15(?!) Fish and chips was luke-warm. The salad was actually decent but I guess it's not hard to put a handful of bistro salad mix in a box and slap a spoonful of sandwich filler in top. The kids meals were as expected, not good or bad. The £15 quid fish and chips was highly disappointing. Small portion of fish and small portion of chips. They forgot the bread and butter and the cup of tea but it did materialise after we pointed it out. The place has potential but for a beach front fish and chip joint this should have been a lot lot better. Far from the photos. There appears to be one older woman cooking and serving every meal on her own and multiple tables had their orders brought out one or two meals at a time, whilst the front of house is run by polite younger people. Wish we'd read the reviews before sitting down. Don't think we'd come back sorry

This was ok. It filled a hole or 14 as there were quite a few of us including children and we we needed to eat. It was conveniently on our path and could quickly seat us as a large group, so they were very hospitable. For a fairly famous seaside town I was hoping some knock out fish & chips especially for the price (£12 for their special which includes bread/butter and a drink). The meal was ok but I thought it was a bit meagre portions for the price and the cost of a few chips. I left feeling it was a bit of a tourist trap. The kids enjoyed it and they had a good selection of ice creams too. Apparently the Mermaid or the Dolphin are where we should have gone for the fish and chips but we wanted a walk along the prom.

This place seems nice, with a beach view and a selection of food and drinks, but i waited quite a while for takeaway chips when there is a sign outside saying ‘fresh and ready to eat’ or somewhere along those lines. They charged £3.50 for a box of takeaway chips when there were hardly any chips, you could see the bottom of the box, although it is a beachfront cafe and some people may disagree, i am not coming here again. This was a total scam.

The place has improved since my last visit which was 2020. Would have gone in last year but it was closed. We go here every year while on holiday in Wales. Kind of a tradition after crabbing in the harbour. Unlike the last few years the fish looked and tasted fresh not frozen. Table servers were a little off putting as they questioned what table we ordered for even though we ordered using the table we were sat at. Think they needed to learn how the numbers on the tables work. Other wise it was good there. We were pleased, well fed...
