Recently went to this lovely pub for Mothers Day as a table of 5, the starters and dinners were all INCREDIBLE 🤤 5 star taste and presentation. We have eaten out at many local pubs in Mold, Holywell, & other Flintshire areas and this place is always where we hands down always one of the most delicious meals. The creamy mushroom starter is my personal favourite starter, but over the past year my partner and I have eaten here a handful of times and tried a few different meals, each and everyone delicious. Its a cute little village pub, that feels like you are getting high end food in a traditional place, I also love the they are dog friendly as we often walk our dog around the beautiful surrounding countryside and head here for a drink and some food. The new owners that have been there for the past year or so are always so welcoming and make you feel at home in their pub. Always a delight to visit. Definitely a must try in the Mold area.

Cross foxes Nannerch goes continental such a beautiful warm welcome they gave my German friends to which they loved the old 1780s pub and massively enjoyed the food, the Cross foxes double burgers with cheese & fries. Beautiful cooked and served on a wooden platter and the fries in a small wire basket. Extremely filling and so moist a true delight to eat 😋 left you feeling really full. Of course always room for pudding the hot chocolate cake is so moist and moreish, the strawberry 🍓 sundaes went down a treat, just a little downside the spoons were to big to reach the bottom of the sundaes apart from that it was a very tasty beautiful meal with a very good atmosphere and a very warm welcome. A big thank you to Becky and Antony we all love it.

I love this place! The charm, the people, simply awesome! I had a Steak and Ale pie that was just stupid delicious! They put the gravy in a small boat on the side, which I SO appreciate as I'm not a fan of food drowning in gravy! The children's meals are excellent (very picky daughter who gave very high marks all around). All very reasonably priced. The village is DREAMY!!!! If you're anywhere near, make the journey as it's WELL worth it. Just a warning, they only serve food Thursday thru Saturday and Sunday roast, so plan ahead and book your table!

My partner & I and my mum came here for a evening meal on our last night. Thurs 14th Aug 2025. We were staying at Caban Eric. (With Gaye & John as our hosts) The pub was lovely decorated & clean. The service was good. My partners food and mine were nice. Unfortunately I was missing a dip for my potato skins. (starters) and some flatbread for my chilli (mains) also My mums starters the white bait, some of them was overcooked & had no taste. All you could taste was the oil. My mums half roast chicken had been cooked again in oil. So it wasn't a roast chicken. She could tell by the crispy ness of the skin, it was hard in places. And the flavour of the chicken inside had a funny taste to it. Probably the oil to heat it up. (My mum owned & cooked in the kitchen in a pub, so she knows about food) We have since found out the owners have only been there 18 months and a new chef. So given time I'm sure improvements will be made. Next time we are in the area we will call in again....

Ordered on just eat tonight was really looking forward to this place as I’ve heard good things and unfortunately I have to say I was very disappointed ordered fish and chips - home made chips were amazing batter on fish was tasteless. Also ordered bread and butter pudding which was good girlfriend ordered garlic bread that was the size of samosas which was really disappointing for the price £5something for that is disgusting also got chocolate fudge cake which was seemed to be stale I mean I get I ordered late in the evening but come on if it’s not fresh and it’s stale then don’t make it available if your charging that sort of money also the ice cream that came with it was terrible as you don’t get much of it at all won’t be ordering from here again now we’ve tried the once just not worth the money they...
