Was really looking forward to our roast at this place to celebrate my fiance 40th birthday with our children but what a disappointment the food was awful I would be ashamed to serve a meal like that. This pub is fantastic. We had Steak and Ale pie and three curry, chips and Naan. The pie pastry was delicious and was full of steak. The curry was absolutely delicious too lovely and creamy. Then we went for puddings. The Jam Sponge and custard was light and fluffy and the apple crumble and custard was delicious. A lovely old world pub ideal for those who have been walking or are looking for a stop off for a refreshment, fully enclosed child/dog safe beer garden at front with lots of good quality tables and a tractor the kids can sit on play on.
