Went here on a Monday evening for wife's birthday. Must book in advance. Its easy to find. Spanish themed restaurant but English speaking staff. They have a strange system - no menu. They show you to your booked table and order your drinks. 1st let-down - didn't explain the unusual system of food ordering. It amounts to you go to the Deli-counter and choose from chalk boards on the wall. 2nd let-down - out of mussels that night which we had come here especially for (wife's favourite). Waitresses not particularly attentive - we had to catch one passing every time we wanted something, including asking to order our desserts. But the food is first class, very high standard, beautifully cooked and presented. Hugh selection of wines and range of prices, from ÂŁ26 up to ÂŁ400+. Apart from the service we received, I would highly recommend...

Sadly, I was disappointed this visit. Have eaten at El Prado many times in the past and always highly recommended going there to friends etc. However 9 of us visited on the 2nd January for my sons 21st birthday. I know it's not cheap to run/heat an establishment, but it was cold. We had 2 courses and the main course was cold food. served on cold plates. I run a pub /restaurant and had taken my chef ( whom previously worked at the priory ) he complained the food was cold and my daughters steak Rare , when she ordered medium/well. The steak was returned to the kitchen whereas our meals remained cold and complaint ignored . So very disappointed. 2 stars rated as young man serving was very good and starters were good. Maybe sitting guests in one area instead of scattering them in different areas would provide a...

Went here last night for a meal. There were five us. The food was excellent however the service was poor. When we initially got seated we were sat on a cramped table where the table legs were in between the legs of whoever was sat at the corners. We did then moved to another table. The female serving us forgot a glass for one of our cokes. Didn’t say anything just walked off. I had to ask her for another and she brought a tiny glass over. She then served our food and seemed completely disinterested in serving us. The atmosphere in there was incredibly rushed and loud. My father was still eating his starter when a waiter came over asking if we were finished.

For the price of the food there you would expect the service and atmosphere to be pleasant but it just wasn’t. Really...

Partner and I ordered rock oysters, 4 small plates to start and two mains with an additional fillet. Goat’s cheese starter was excellent, though the mains weren’t remarkable. A pleasant atmosphere, however, my partner was understandably cautioned about wearing Palm Angels joggers which weren’t considered ‘smart casual’. This was not well taken as there were men wearing floral shorts, females in sandals, and children rolling toy pushchairs across the restaurant floor. We are of the opinion that the social regulations regarding smart dress code should not be selective, and should extend to other facets of the restaurant (e.g., staff should be skilled and abide by standard table setting etiquette).

Fantastic establishment. Clean, open and welcoming car park. On-site electric car charger (only the one) and plenty of space to park. The staff were phenomenal, welcoming and attentive. The open seafood and meat counter was beautiful and you can see the food, choose it and watch it taken into the kitchen to be prepared. Fantastic array of drinks on offer and food items on the menus. Some items were served table side and looked delicious. This is a gem waiting to be found. If you passing by, need a venue for a friends get together or even a birthday, I’d recommend this establishment. No negatives and we will 100% be back again. đŸ€˜đŸ»

The food is visible to everyone on the counter. The vegetable, seafood and meat its all there. We saw them take the piece that would eventually be ours to eat too. Food was cooked great. For starters the calamari was great with the aoili dip its served with. I had the Venison steak as a main which was amazingly cooked. And the cheesecake, it was thick but not heavy and was just perfect. Quite possibly the most balanced cheesecake I've eaten Staff were all very friendly and inviting. Decor is also very classy. Would love to come back here eventually.
