The first time we visited, we were sat on the left side of the bar, on a great table, served lovely food and the atmosphere was nice and relaxed. We enjoyed it so much that we visited the next day and were sat over on the right, in a smaller room, next to the exit/entrance to the side room and close to the back door. This time, the service felt quite rushed and the atmosphere was definitely not the same. There was a table of women who were rather loud, to the point where we could barely hear the waitress or each other. I understand that obviously the clientele has nothing to do with the establishment nor staff, but I'd highly recommend booking in advance and asking to be seated on the left side of the bar, rather than the smaller side room to the right, as we felt slightly in the way (having to move our dog when anyone walked to or from the bar) and it felt like we were in Central station, rather than a nice countryside pub (which is how we thought of it after the first visit).

Seen some bad reviews on Tripadvisor and just want to say that I don't understand them at all! They mentioned rude staff, bad food, and bad wait times. All I can say is that our experience tonight was the complete opposite. The staff were lovely and attentive, the food was so tasty and absolutely red hot, and we were barely waiting even 20 minutes before our food came out. The chip shop favourites meal was lovely. The fish was big, chips hot, and the curry sauce + mushy peas really finished it off. The liver casserole was apparently very good too and the sizzlers looked fab. The only downside was that it took ages for our plates and cutlery to be cleared but I think there were only 2 staff members waiting the tables at the time. Overall it was a great meal out and we would definitely come again

The place looks welcoming and cozy however the service it’s a bit cold with to enthusiasm from the staff, everyone seems to have a straight face for some reason. The attention to detail does not exist, ordered truffle fries and they brought normal fries and when asked the staff for truffle oil then were keen to point out the cheese on the fries such as this would mean that there is truffle oil on them too without believing I’m telling the truth. I asked for truffle oil anyway and they brought normal oil - this dish was missed for 2 people. My suggestion and opportunity to improve is to communicate more with the kitchen and also customers, have some empathy and smile a little. Other than that keep doing what you’re doing, the location is great and the setup is perfect.

Went there for a meal for 5. The time that we went to was on a Monday night which was unusually quiet probably due to the season however this most definitely helped the quality of the food and our experience.

The variety of food may be a little limited for those who enjoy trying new things but a mix of classic pub grubs and show pieces was good.

Three of our group had the Chicken Tikka which came as a very healthy serving (as did all our meals), one of us had a Steak Sizzler, and I had a Cajun Chicken. We all enjoyed a dessert at the end too.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Cajun Chicken and recommend it, the Chicken Tikka was exactly what you'd expect, and even though I see "sizzling" or even any food which comes on a skillet as too much of a gimmick, my companion rated the actual food part of the spectacle highly.

I would like to visit again soon, however, keeping in mind that we were amongst the only ones there at the time I easily see the quality of the food could drop with a sudden intake of customers. Not only that, but I couldn't imagine how 'misty' or 'foggy' it would be if two or more people ordered a Sizzler at a time.

The gentleman who served us was nice and polite and let us open a tab for our evening there.

Having worked in the food industry I know that desserts are not the focus in any restaurant. With that in mind the ice-cream wasn't frozen with ice shards in the middle (which is good), the sponge pudding served with custard was cleaned up, and our raspberry meringue ice-cream combination (I cannot remember the name sorry) was sweet and light.

Thank you...

We have been staying down the road on a holiday with our parents and our little one. Myself and my wife took the offer of my parents babysitting to head out for something to eat this evening and chose to come here. I'm glad we did, the food was excellent and the service was great through out.

I opted for the Sirloin steak (medium) and my wife had the home made Chicken Madras from the specials menu. Both the portion sizes were extremely generous and the food was really tasty. My steak cooked perfectly and my wife's curry was delicious.

Our plates were collected promptly after finishing our mains and we were offered the dessert menu, we both obliged and I went for a bannoffee sundae and my wife the apple pie and ice cream. Again portion sizes great all made with fresh ingredients and extremely tasty.

After we'd finished we went to the bar and settled the bill and were greeted again by another bubbly and polite member of staff, who asked how everything had been. "Fantastic" was our response.

Sadly we live in Suffolk so it's a bit of a hike to come visit regularly, but for anyone who is holidaying or who lives nearby I would highly recommend a visit. It's a fantastic independently run pub which serves great food. Places like this deserve plenty of support and custom. The value for money is brilliant for what is here. Far better than any...

My brother, Gran and I went to the Four Crosses Inn Menai bridge this evening for food. I had previously been during the day about two months ago and had a lovely sausage baguette and the price was reasonable.

However it was a total different story tonight, 35 mins wait for food, Gran didn't have her coffee until 10 mins after food was served and the waiter was extremely inattentive. I had asked for her coffee to be brought over twice before having our food! I had rump steak which was ok, my onions and mushrooms were covered in greese and the chips needed a extra 15 mins minimum of cooking time, soggy and pale. Grandma's chips were the same and her battered fish/cod was rock hard, she also asked for garden peas not mushy, but both were put on her plate! The mushy peas put her right off!!! My brother had sausages and 'chips' instead of 'mash' and was given vegetables on his plate although I asked for no veg. His chips was also inedible. I also had peppercorn sauce instead of Diane.

The food plus a coffe, lemonade and black and coke costed me £61.40!!! A total rip off, I like to recommend places that I eat at but I would certainly avoid dining at this pub/resreaunt ever again.

Over all a shocking...
