Food and service was fine but the dog policy needs looking at. We were asked to move tables so that some people with a 'problem' dog could sit in the corner which was a bit annoying but at the time we thought fine, whatever. We were still only the next table along so quite close to the dog which was a large alsation, muzzled. It is only a small cafe and it was unpleasant to then find ourselves basically in the middle of a dog fight when someone else tried to leave with their dog and walk past the alsation. It lunged and barked aggressively and deafeningly loud for way too long. Me and my toddler were terrified. Following this, the people with the reactive dog were not asked to leave but the staff actually made a fuss of this dog and even encouraged the owner to remove its muzzle!!!! I could not relax for the rest of the time we were there, I was constantly worried about another dog entering the cafe and causing another reaction. I'm sorry that this dog is like this and it may not be the owner's fault, but it's wrong that the staff should prioritise the comfort of this dog over all the...
Read moreLots of vegan options, nice coffee and cake. My only criticism and i understand why they do this, because it can get busy. Notices taped to each table saying "this table reservered for 3 or 4 people only" so if your going as a couple or a pair, you need to sit in the row of small tables up the middle of the sitting area. I wish rather than taping these notices to the table, they would use a sign they could put out at meal times. Because it wasnt really that busy, when i visited. All the 4 persons tables were empty. Personally I like to sit in a corner or with a wall one side of me, for mental health issues. Its not very intimate if you are meeting some one for a coffee date the first time. Where on a bigger table you can distance yourself a bit from the next table. They have crammed the maximum number of tables in there (i get why) so if it is busy there may be a bit of getting knocked and having to shuffle around. Having said this its is still a place I would happily...
Read moreFood was ok but was told by member of staff to leave my unstrapped one year old on his pushchair out of site because he was asleep (i couldn't do the buckle up). I could see there was room by our table for it. I would have rathered they had offered to cancel our order and apologised. But no she apologised to the couple who I'd politely asked to slide their table literally one inch to the left so i could fit through. But no they were too rude because it was for a child not a dog. Anyway, in leaving i was patronising told "see he slept the whole time" #fakesmile. No he actually woke three times. Not that I would have left him by an open door to a busy road anyway! Stop making parents feel awkward but taking their money anyway. We nearly didn't go anyway as we'd seen the waitresses a whileback cooing over a dog sat at a chair licking off a plate on the table. Apparently if your a dog...
