Hubby and I stopped here for a break whilst on gallery deliveries from Yorkshire. The Honey Cafe is easy to find on a little turn off just on the edge of the village. There is plenty of free parking right outside. There is a large outside seating area as well as a very cosy interior café decorated with pretty local artwork. The menu is full of great suggestions and everything sounded delicious, but we only had a short window of time and so opted for tea and toast. The weather was cool, but outside was bright and the view of the snow topped mountains was beautiful so we sat and enjoyed watching the red kites circling above with one even doing a close flyby as we ate! The bill was just £11.80, which was very reasonable and the chatty friendly staff were very helpful too :) We are very happy to have found this little gem and will happily call again next time we are in the area :)

As it was a lovely dry sunny day today we had a ride out to the " Honey Cafe " near Brecon. Nice big car park so plenty of Spaces for cars / bikes etc. This is a handy little stop if your venturing into the Brecon Beacons proper. As restrictions lift you are able to sit inside or outside and have Waiter service so your not standing around waiting to order / collect food. Great choice of food and drink and even though a tad pricier than other places( there isn't much else around.) This shouldn't distract from the great service we had. Polite and attentive were the staff and the food was great! Everyone enjoyed their meals and my chicken burger was huge! Enough for two people and proper home made chips! Definitely recommend and defiantly be back again ( although I hear it can get very busy in summer )

Such a lovely cafe with great cakes. The spicy honey cake was really good. So was the Welsh cake. We had the honey late which sounded better than it tasted. It was a late with some honey basically. There is plenty of parking space and the place is not particularly busy on a Friday afternoon. We did not get a chance to try the food from the breakfast or lunch menu. I would absolutely love to go back someday and see what they have to offer. They had a cute sign that said they were having a lot of trainees, but they all did great. I’ve never seen Welsh cakes as big as they had them in this cafe. They had one flavor only which was the original raisins she said. Very beautiful and yummy.

HoneyPot Coffee Shop Castle Gresley, United Kingdom

Expensive for what you get. We went on the bank holiday Monday, very popular cafe with bikers, in fact it was full of bikers to the point where I had to queue for 15mins just to have a pee bcuz there was 5 bikers Infront of me who bought 1 cuppa and needed the loo. The food we had was tasty, I had the tomatoe & basil soup, it comes with a thick slice of bread, it would of been nice to have some butter on the bread! We also had onion rings which where very nice and a portion of chips, if you could call it a portion, they came in a tiny dish and must of been 10 thin chips in them (you get more fries at any fast food outlet) My partner had a cheese & coleslaw sandwich, I would of thought for the price it would of come with a few crisps & maybe a garnish but no! It was literally just the sarnie on the plate. We both had a coffee each and when they came I thought we were on a water shortage! The small cups where only half full, I was just about to tell the waitress that we ordered americano and not espresso. We paid £30 for a cheese sandwich, a bowl or tomato soup, 5 onion rings and a handful of chips (that's being generous) and 2 coffee's, at that price tag I would of thought some butter on the bread a few crisps & garnish on the sandwich would of been appropriate. Nice place but definitely run to make the biggest profit they can, shame really as it's a nice...

Thought this would be a great place to stop for lunch on our way back from mid Wales. Google reviews looked promising and upon parking outside it honestly looked like the quintessential Welsh country cafe. Alarm bells should of rung upon entering and seeing several of the tables had yet to be cleared despite being vacant. Benefit of the doubt given they were busy. We sat down and after being asked a lovely member of staff cleared the table. We then asked if we could wipe the table ourselves as they were too busy to do so. Eventually the table was wiped a bit. We decided to order, now the prices are on the high side but we don't mind paying good money for good food so ordered meals and a drink each. I was eventually served with half a cup of Luke warm coffee without milk which I asked for. The the mains arrived. Hunters chicken, if you can call it that. 3 off cuts, I'm not entirely sure what they were but possibly Chicken. Well overdone, a piece of bacon, minimal cheese and a drizzle of barbeque sauce. Served with a handful of frozen chips and a undressed side salad. In all fairness the salad was the highlight of the plate. Now I hate to complain but at £18 I honestly couldn't stomach this. The manager promptly refunded and apologised. Honestly I hope they can do better as if the food and service was anything like decent, despite being pricey. This place...

Well... the food was like homemade, in that I could have made it at home by heating up stuff from the supermarket just like they did. I had a, single, Glamorgan sausage with Chips, egg and beans. The beans covered well over half of the plate, the egg was good, the chips were most likely store bought oven chips and the Glamorgan sausage was tasty but way overcooked and small. My wife had a chicken burger; 2 tiny chicken breasts, the buns were just placed either side of the chicken and it didn't 'perform' like a chicken burger when holding it. Chips were same as mine. My daughter had a Cheeseburger and chips; a thin burger patty (like a basics/value/smart price type patty) between 2 baps and a slice of cheddar cheese and again, the burger just fell apart.

When we came in we were told to pick a seat and then order at the till. After which, one of the servers took an order off one family at their table?!

Way overpriced.

I'd heard this place was good for coffee and cake but we did not stay for dessert.

The staff were not rude, but they also were definitely not inviting/friendly.

I picked the place off it's review score but it seems that this place is resting on its laurels and must have definitely gone down hill since some of the rave reviews.

Unfortunately I don't think I will go back to try the coffee and cake. It's not...
