Kibby's Fish and Chip Shop — Restaurant in Wales

I really want to give this place 1 star but I have to give 2 and here's why. Ordered large cod bites and chips. The portion was what I would call a kid's meal. Even a happy meal offers more. Staff were ok but I've always known my local chippy and feel they should be more friendly and welcoming. The last thing we ordered was a battered sausage which was minute. This in itself would justify a 1 star however I've given 2 because if the portion size were normal or generous then I would have given the food 5 stars for the taste. Shame about the position sizes. I won't be going there again at that price. It's very expensive for what you get and I'm still...

The quality and portion size was great, freshly cooked golden chips this actually shocked me they were incredible.

Staff here are first class freindly polite and patient I could not have asked for a more pleasant experience.

Cleanliness was great ot was very clean.

This is a must visit if you are in the Chepstow area as its also cma lot cheaper and better than any chip shop around the area

Disabled access is fine again no issues.

You can also dine in if you prefer.

My only negative is with the council they need to sort the parking out and make it better...

I left a review 6 years ago..... pretty sure I've been back since then although I do live 70 miles away! .....I think that other more recent reviews are either unfair or completely wrong as again I found the service excellent and very friendly, the food freshly cooked and delicious and remarkably good value. We had haddock, scampi, chips, mushy peas, buttered bap, and mugs of tea for just over £20 ( 2 people).....and we sat in the side seating area and ate off of proper plates with knives and forks.....and somebody cooked our meal and did the washing up!..... what is there to moan about.
