Went there on the 27th July and I was not disappointed. I went with a group of 8. The menu had a lot of meat options and a bit of vegetarian options. It was unfortunate I couldn't have any meat on the day as it smelt and looked delicious. I saw other customers licking their fingers and the plates were cleaned when the waiters got it back (I clearly missed this experience). We were given complimentary Pani Puri which was ok but given that this was free I cannot say a bad word about it. Starters were Paneer Tikka, Plain Papadoms with chutneys (sauce), Garlic Mushroom & Onion Bhaji. This was given the thumbs up by all as they loved it. I am a big fan of Paneer and the Paneer Tikka to be my favourite starter. Soft, and well cooked with salad was class. Mains, we had Tarka Dhaal, Saag Paneer, Kofta & Bombay Aloo with Naan. (They don't do chilli and garlic naan but for us they did which we were deeply grateful for). Mains were amazing, the Kofta had to be the favourite dish amongst us all. Cooked to perfection and the sauce selection was out of this world. One of the best experiences I have had in terms of food. Service was great too! They got involved with our banter, friendly towards us and understanding which made our visit special. They don't serve alcohol but you can bring your own. Parking is free along the road so there is nothing to worry about paying for parking. Thank you guys for a...
Read moreI collected a take away from here yesterday and after being told it was the 'best' place to get a curry in Barry I was really looking forward to it. After eating from here I would probably agree with this, however it wasn't on of the best I've personally had.
The food was fresh and the portions were of a good size but the flavour was on the bland side for two of the three dishes we had. One dish however (a dry chicken one) was great and when I order from here again I think I'll stick to the dry ones apposed to the currys.
Overall it was a good first impression so I would recommend it as so far it is the 'best' curry I've had it Barry. Next time I think I'll try eating in and see how it goes then as there's a lot of 5* reviews from people that...
Read morePhoned Wednesday for an early table for 6 for a family birthday. Fully booked for the evening but squeezed us in a bit earlier. One of our party was 14 months olds - staff were really attentive and considerate of him (scrubbed high chair down, put everything on table away from him etc). Ordered mixed grill, lamb madras, peshwar naan, saag allo, bhaji, samosa, rice and childrens meals. Every item really fresh and tasty. Love having such a good restaurant in the east end - makes things so much easier for the family when you want to have a beer, taxis etc. Top class lads,...
