Myself and some friends popped into Papiās Pizzeria today, just looking for somewhere to eat on short notice, weāre all local but none of us had ever actually been here to eat. We were first asked if we had booked, which we hadnāt so were seated inside. The interior is quite small, which isnāt an issue as itās not a big building, but it is quite ābusyā Iād say, a lot of staff and noise in not a large space, but again, thereās nothing they can really do about that. Iād also note that in certain seats in this hot weather, the window acts like a greenhouse and it was very hot at times, however, I imagine most patrons will be sitting outside.
The staff we interacted with were on the whole friendly, in particular one older lady who took our order and gave our bill at the end, I wouldnāt say customer service was a problem at all. We were brought a jug of water to drink, the lid/cork of the jug couldāve been cleaner but not something Iād make a fuss about. We waited around 15-20 minutes for our food (we only ordered mains), which I thought was reasonable considering it was pretty much peak time on a sunny evening; you could see the food being prepared and cooked which was a nice touch! I ordered the linguine carbonara (which I wish Iād photographed but nevermind) and I must say it was fantastic, probably the second best pasta dish Iāve ever eaten, not a bad thing to say about that, absolutely 10/10, two of my friends ordered pasta too and said very similar things, so Iād definitely highly recommend their pasta.
Our order total came out to Ā£51, which for 4 mains in 2025, I thought was extremely reasonably priced, especially for the quality of the food youāre getting. Iām giving Papiās Pizzeria 4/5 stars although Iād give 4.5 stars if Google would let me. Would highly recommend if youāre...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMe and my fiance visited here on a Saturday night. Relaxed vibe sitting outside.
We had a few tapas dishes to try (3 for £15 comes with rustic bread) I had the spinach and ricotta cannelloni and my fiance had the prawn champagne linguine. Good size portions. The cheese sauce was rich towards the end.
Tapas, pizza and pasta with sides on the menu . Small drinks menu
Staff are friendly, Fionne was lovely and liked to have a chat with us. The staff weren't too in our faces either and just checked in the once. They also gave us a box for the garlic pizza we didn't finish.
Few seats inside and out. Toilets available.
Would recommend booking for more than 3 people.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreBooked a table 4 weeks in advance for a special birthday and anniversary celebration at 8pm. Called in at 7.45pm to check our table was available and waitress said we would do them a favour if we came back about 8.30pm as they were very busy and people were still on OUR table. Called back at 8.20 and they had given OUR table to another group leaving no table available for us. Even though they had ruined our celebration their reply was just to say Sorry !!! It appears that they must run their business on greed as apparently this is not the first time they have overbooked tables. Will not be returning if this is the way they treat customers. This was not a mistake but...
