Over £50 for a less than average breakfast. Personally wouldn’t have let the poached egg leave the kitchen the way it was served. £9.50 for half a tin of chickpeas and some avocado over a bagel with one good poached egg and one that should never have made it out to the customer. £10.50 full Welsh breakfast was very poor quality and not much to it really, again bad quality. Would have expected more than one sausage on a ‘full’ breakfast. The rest was mediocre at best. Wasn’t much on offer in the way of drinks. Wouldn’t go again and would NOT recommend. Very disappointing. Must say the food did come out within minutes but that just makes me think it was just heated up. Will be back at the Sandbar for breakfast tomorrow as this certainly was not the ‘hidden gem’ it was described to us as and the food did not look anything like the photos that are on...

My sister and I went there last week for an afternoon tea. We hadn't realised that it was part of the garden center; it gives it an extra charm! We all love plants so that was definitely a lovely environment to be in for us. They accommodated kids easily, I felt like they were happy to go a little off menu to make sure we got what we needed.

If you have a specific dietary requirement (I am vegan), I would recommend emailing them prior to your visit. They have a few vegan and GF options of their menu anyways, but because I had emailed a week before to book and ask about their vegan afternoon tea, they had taken the time to experiment with new recipes to make me the most delicious vegan afternoon tea. What a privilege! I felt like a Queen, everyone was so kind and friendly too, service was top notch. I would most...

Group of 5. This was the worst experience we have had in any cafe we’ve been to in years and years. One of us wanted avocado but it came with 2 poached eggs which they wanted to swap for mushrooms. No way would he do that. Dreadful atmosphere during breakfast. He asked if it was all to go on the same bill which we said yes because it’s what we always do. Each of us works out the amount it comes to and we all pay separately plus tip. It was mostly going to be cash with a couple paying by card. He was furious when we came to pay saying why can’t one of you pay the total amount and that he had already asked if we wanted to order separately. Needless to say we all then paid using 5 cards (no cash and no...

My favourite place to have breakfast on the Peninsula. Lovely peaceful relaxed atmosphere and very friendly service. Had smashed avocado on lovely light airy toasted buttered bagels with two poached eggs and a side of bacon. Absolutely delicious. My friend had smoked salmon and scrambled egg on toast. The flat white coffee was very good quality. They also sell lovely quiche and tartlets here. Always easy to park on the big private carpark - much better than endlessly driving round Abersoch trying to find that elusive parking space which is an absolute pain.

Wonderful.....we haven't been before but will definitely be going again. The sandwiches were delightful, none of the boring fillings....we had brie and cranberry and others....very tasty....the cream scones were so fresh, they melted in your mouth....there was do much we had to take the rest away in a bag. You do need to book so that you are not disappointed and it is very reasonably priced. Staff friendly and dog friendly....a great quirky place to ho x
