PiccadillyinnCaerwys Back open and what a fab menu. A bit different with lovely, tempting, delicious dishes. You must try the Lemon Curd-meringue on ginger bread with vanilla. What a combination not too sweet and was our favourite. We also tried the Chocolate Pebble-salted caramel, mint and burnt white chocolate and the bakewell tart. Back to the mains try the crab presented in a shell on a bowl of pebbles and from the small plates menu a ham hock scotch egg with caramelised apple sauce and chorizo now that is a tasty combination (could have eaten two ๐Ÿ˜) Compliments to the chef we love your menu. Great service we were well looked after. Everywhere and I mean everywhere (open kitchen so you see all) was immaculate. Restaurant in the back room and dining upstairs. We were in the front rooms by the bar with all the quirky horse themed decor which is quite fascinating to look at. Lovely atmosphere in here. 10/10 ๐Ÿ‘œ handbag restaurant review for our fab lunch today ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Weโ€™ve not been in almost ten years with Covid and change of ownership. Thankfully we have now, itโ€™ll be a regular I think! Every aspect of our dining was marvellous, booking was simple, our table was lovely, service was first rate, the waiting staff were fantastic, engaging with us and our children, it really was special for the kids to be spoken to as equals! The food was delicious, frankly the best Sunday roast Iโ€™ve ever had. Excellent quality of produce, perfectly cooked, seasoned well but not so richly to become heavy and overwhelming. Thoroughly good produce cooked and served perfectly. Deserts were the same level, the children loved their freshly cooked, warm chewy cookies and milk. My husband and I had the cookie dough and chocolate pebble. Itโ€™d be hard to beat the quality of our experience on every way possible. Thank you.

We've eaten at the Pic several times and never been disappointed. Food is always cooked perfectly, steak exactly as requested, fish flaked away easily for example and nicely presented, with a decent portion size. Everything is fresh and tasty. Service is excellent and drinks are well kept. Cocktails are delicious too. It's a lovely pub/restaurant with a nice atmosphere and dog friendly in the bar (no dogs in the restaurant part which is separate). We love Buddy, the residential spaniel ๐Ÿฅฐ When our lab was ill, we took her in a few times, during a quieter period, after a visit to the vet next door and the owners and staff were so kind. She loved her time there and being made a fuss of, something we won't forget and whilst this isn't our local, we keep recommending and want to support.

Will definitely be back if we're staying nearby.

After a horrendous experience at a nearby pub the previous day, we had our fingers crossed that the food here was going to be good and we weren't disappointed.

My wife and I both had three courses, which were beautiful.

I had the Greek salad to start, which was lovely if a little pricey. My wife arrancini, which the baby stole some of and they both loved it.

I had the sirloin steak, medium rare, which was spot on - one of the best I've had in ages. A decent size, cooked as requested, well seasoned, served with chips (which were good), tomato and mushroom and (2 ๐Ÿ˜ž) onion rings. Would have been better with more onion rings because they were lush. My wife's steak and Guinness pie was delicious, the meat was really tender and moist and came with chips and a variety of freshly cooked veg, which wasn't overcooked as you often get with pub food. Minor niggle was that the pastry was a little dry. She'd still get it again though!

I had the choux pastry, which had a few different sweet things on it and some coffee ice-cream. It didn't last long. The other half had the cherry Bakewell, with cherry ripple ice-cream. Lush.

The kids had generous portions of chicken gougons with mash, peas and gravy; sausage chips and beans; and pasta with garlic bread. All enjoyed and had ice cream for dessert.

The staff were friendly and helpful. They weren't phased by the soya allergy in the order, were careful to make sure it was respected and were very accommodating. The children wanted to swap their sides, which was no problem. Given how busy they were, it was amazing that they managed to spend extra time to talk to the kids who wanted to share their holiday stories and give them a picture one of them had drawn.

If 4.5 stars was possible on here I'd have given that, but I think the price stopped me from giving...

Have been visiting here for over 20 years and I have seen all the changes that have been made over the years. Nice easy parking and great little garden outside. Main dining area around the bar was full when we arrived as we didn't book. Hadn't needed to on a weekday early afternoon before. We were seated in the smaller dining room and music put on to create atmosphere. Great range of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. A very interesting menu that is full of chicken dishes. We were advised the steak and ale pie was chicken that day. Not great for myself that can't consume poultry. Love the Welsh rarebit bun for the burgers. The fries were absolutely delicious but the relish/sauce that accompanied the dish was something to be desired. Had an aniseed aftertaste. Desserts are absolutely delicious, can't fault them at all. The chocolate pebble is a must try! Disabled toilet lock was broken and the floor and surrounding area were wet and dirty. Overall a nice visit. Seems to be popular, not sure if everyone dining was local as we were sat on our own. Cost was very high for what you get but flavours are palette pleasing and the chef knows how to use...

Went today for Sunday lunch for a family birthday. Service at the table was great the waitresses were really friendly and attentive. Disappointingly though the food was not to the same standard. Most of us had the beef or fish and chips. Unfortunately the beef was very fatty so when this was cut away it made for a small portion of edible meat and the fish although a good size was tasteless. The pricing of the food does not match the quality, you would expect to have better quality food or keep as it is for a lesser price. Based on our experience today ยฃ19 for a main course is definately overpriced. Also to pay the bill the member of staff at the bar was not only rude but did not work out each persons bill correctly leaving the last person with a bill of over ยฃ40 for a main course, side order and drink. This may have been a genuine error however her attitude in relation to the bill and us paying seperately was rude. Overall with the exception of the waiting on staff it was a disappointing visit ... one we will not be in a rush to make again especially for a family...
