Update: after almost 2 years have passed, the “unsuccessful” payment is still on my bank statement… what a trick that they used to make me paid twice 🤷🏻‍♀️

I went to this café in December, and it wasn't great. When I paid via Apple Pay, the money came out of my bank straight away, but the staff said it didn't work, so I had to pay again. They told me the first payment that didn't work would disappear, but it's now March, and it's still on my bank statement. The cafe is too far for me to go back and ask about it.

One staff wasn’t friendly. When my husband, our dog, and I went in, they told us we had to stand in line to order food before we could sit down. But there were lots of people at the counter, so it didn't make sense to make the area more packed. I saw other people sitting down without ordering first, and the same woman didn't say anything to them.

Also, the person making the food wasn't clean at all! They used the same gloves to touch dirty trays and used tissues from the tables and chairs, and then without washing the gloves, they used the same gloves to handle the food - salad leaves, tomatoes, crisps, bread etc. That's not hygienic at all! Great family friendly cafe. Large indoors but a good sized outdoor area too which looks onto the high street. Staff were lovely and friendly. We were recommended the raspberry cake and it was delicious! Good hot,tasty coffee. 2 cakes and 2 coffees came to around £12!!! Incredible!

Definitely wheelchair/pushchair friendly with plenty of space to get round tables too. I think the outside was dog friendly.
