Wouldn’t recommend taking your autistic children to Seagers in Gorseinon
Came in today with my son, I ordered us two main courses, when they came he wasnt eating his fish and chips. I was encouraging him to eat his for a bit but because I know he is so hit and miss around food, I carried on eating while he’d got out a cupcake from my bag we’d bought earlier in the day.
This man then comes over to us and says pretty rudely: You can’t eat that here. We sell food, you’re not allowed to eat from outside’
I stood there totally stunned for a minute, and then I thought ‘actually not today.’
I walked up to him and I said: in case it wasn’t obvious from the noise cancelling headphones, the sunflower lanyard and the fricking reigns, my son is autistic and non verbal. I ordered us both mains, he wasn’t eating his for whatever reason- which is fine, I was still going to pay for both mains. While I was eating he got the cakes out. You then came and told us off, pretty unnecessarily really. I’ve not come in here and taken the piss, and only ordered a meal for myself, I’ve ordered both of us food and he’s not eating his. What more do you want? ‘
He stared back at me like a bulldog chewing a wasp, all smug. No apologies or understanding.
I then said: I wasn’t going to mention it until you were rude but my burger was actually burnt so you can take that off the bill.
He said: our burgers are chargrilled.
I said: it was...
Read moreWhat an amazing experience! I rang to book a table for my fiancé’s birthday. The young lady who took the booking was so welcoming and polite on the phone that I have to give her 10/10. We got to the restaurant and the same young lady was so welcoming and showed us to our seat with the menus. She said she would be back in a few minutes to take a drinks order and she kept to her word. Phil then came to take our order. As we waited for our food, he noticed that our drinks were down to half full. He came to ask if he could get us another. When he came back we asked him about the age dried tomahawk beef, that was displayed in the cold room. Phil was very knowledgeable about it, telling us how long they had been in there and how much it would cost for the various sizes. Now for the food. I had chicken with mango sauce and my fiancé had the chicken tikka. They were absolutely amazing, tasty from start to finish. We didn’t want the finish our food as it was so tasty. Desert was the same - full of taste - absolutely delicious! Compliments to the chef! We have passed here many a time and always said we would go in. We are so glad we did. Our only regret was that we hadn’t gone in before now. This restaurant will definitely be a...
Read moreHad a lovely meal here with the other 1/2 and we had the sharing platter to start and my partner had the filet medallions as a main, I opted for the 20oz Tomahawk.
Room was very loud and noisy and they could do with installing some sound deadning panels to resolve this.
Food was fine and was lovely but there is no way the Tomahawk was worth the £34 price tag at most it was a £28 steak. Will not bother asking for it again as the wastage in fat alone was a good 6oz and the bone as always was a good 4oz leaving me with an at best average 10oz steak that was just that, average. The couple next to us had the 16oz t bone and sirloin and either would have been a better choice than the Tomahawk.
Lesson learnt and my advice to anyone dining here is not to waste money on the Tomahawk, just order the cheaper meal as it will be better.
Desert of honeycomb cheasecake was more chocolate than anything but enjoyable none the less.
Shame as I was hoping for so much more for the price than an average steak.
Area is very disjointed as the decor is all over the place and no continuity from one area to the other, the high level USB sockets over each window was confusing!
Would reccomend the fillet medallions as they were great...
