Food and service was fact and friendly. Burger was boiling, sames goes with fries and onion rings. The Ice cream was cold and creamy and the apple crumble tasted like something my nan would make so it was a 10/10 meal. The 3 starts come from the toilet. I prefer to use disabled loos since (a) I have a hidden disability. (b) They are gender neutral and I feel more comfortable alone. The bathroom floor was wet (from urine) and stank of faeces and urine. Only thing I can give bonus points on is the factor that they had working toilet roll and soap.

Like every wetherspoon that I've been to. The only let down is the toilets... they're clean, but it's like competing in the Crystal Maze to get to them... this one takes the biscuit. Up stairs, now steps, up a steps, through multiple doors.... it wouldn't take ya to have to many drinks or they'd have to send a search party to bring you back to.... earth. Other than that, a star 🌟 for each CQSMA

Friendly enough, only had a small meal but it was good and served quick. Disappointed with lack of NHS covid QR where other pubs all seem to have it. Poor reception on 4G mobile for ordering via app but didn't try WiFi. Toilets upstairs but clean & tidy.

The food is fine. The front of house service staff do their job well. The atmosphere is what you generally get in a Witherspoon's. The real issue I had was with the after service following a problem with odering. I visited one Saturday in late September by myself and used the app the order a meal and drink (£10.15) from the table. When I was approach by the service staff member with my drink I was informed that unfortunately their system had double charged my card. I was promised that I would receive my refund after 3 working days. I was of course more that happy with this. I did not receive my refund but thought I would wait because I knew I was going to The Mardy for a meal again on my own the following weekend. Unfortunately again when ordering though the app (£10.35) my card was double charged on my next visit. I had a discussion with the manager who took my name and phone number and said he would sort it out and phone me. I awaited until the following Tuesday but again I received no refund for either of the double charged meals or a phone call. I phoned the pub and had a lengthy discussion with a manager called Chris. He said that he had called the head office and I should recieve a refund within 3 working days. I did receive a refund for the first overcharged meal (£10.15) but not the last one(£10.35). I waited until the following day and phoned the pub again. This time I spoke to a manager called Cory. He blank refused to help made excuse about the company system or procedures and insisted that it was somehow my job to phone his head office to get my money back. This so called manager actually put the phone down on me. Cory needs to take on board that he is a representative of Wetherspoons. Clearly Cory isn't cut out to be a manager.... I still haven't received the money Wetherspoons owes me. This review will stay up until I receive my refund but The Mardy has...

I don't usually do reviews but I just had to share my experience. I visited the Mardy on Monday afternoon it was quite quiet, sat down and ordered on the app drinks and food came quickly and the staff was absolutely amazing apart from one. I believe her name was Kerin as she gave her name out to a group of men sitting opposite us, she came to our table twice with her face mask on her chin then moved it up under nose as she went to put drinks down on our table not friendly at all. When food arrived my wife was missing a peppercorn sauce from her meal as she was still talking to the group next to us we tried to get her attention and she rolled her eyes, huffed and spoke to us with her face mask fully down. I mentioned my concerns to a lady with pink hair after we had finished our meals and she was very apologetic lovely lady, a few minutes later i was going to the toilet an I could see the pink haired lady speaking to a short lady with dark brown hair about the situation. Anyway 3 times I seen your staff telling her to put her mask on correctly and within minutes of them telling her she was pulling it back down and slagging off her fellow work associates to groups of lads. She could really do with some training on...

Worst service I've ever experienced. We came in sat down on a dirty table, finally managed to wave a waitress down (pink hair) to ask her to wipe the table, before saying anything to her she basically shouted at us saying "we don't do table service" me and my family were absolutely shocked at her attitude. We then politely asked her to wipe the dirty table and she scoffed, rolled her eyes and walked away. She then proceeds to spray us all with the antibac and bearly wipe the middle of the table and walks away. Safe to say the waitress with pink hair needs a serious attitude adjustment, as a waitress myself I know exactly how tough it can be but at the end of the day you can not take it out on a paying customer. Ruined our whole day so cheers to...
