I never write reviews, but this experience was very disappointing as I was with someone not from the area.
Went in to get a table for the female worker to go outside and collect a couple that were waiting before us as it was busy. No issues.
So I informed the female worker that we would go and wait outside for our table like the previous couple before use. So we wait 10 minutes and two couples come after us. There was a bit of a wait as I understand it’s busy, so another 5 minutes passed and the couple that came in after us get a table, as we’re still waiting outside.
I went in and told the staff that we were waiting for a table to be told that ‘they’re no longer serving food’, so I questioned whether the couple that came in after us were ordering food and I was told ‘yes’. So I reiterated that we came in before them and were waiting for a table, and I was asked ‘where are you sitting?’, and further reiterated to the male that I was told by the female that we were next in line for a table.
We were essentially told ‘sorry, we just can’t keep up’. Again, very disappointing as this was once a place I would have...
Read moreI often call in Station 86 for breakfast or coffee but this morning I was not impressed at all. A complete disaster. Service for coffees far too slow. Ordered 2 coffees Cappuccino for my son and a very weak half shot Americano with OAT milk for myself. We waited 25 minutes for my son’s coffee to arrive but no sign of mine til another 10 minutes after. When it did arrive it was really strong and came with ordinary milk not oat as ordered. I couldn’t drink it so asked for it to be changed to what I actually ordered Received my second cup to find it had turned into a cappuccino with oat milk not an americano. Couldn’t be bothered to complain again as we would have been there til lunchtime. So lucky my mother in law wasn’t with us as there would have been an ambulance outside if she had drunk the ordinary milk instead of oat milk. Please in future take note of the customer’s order or it could end up in a serious situation. I definitely think more staff are needed there. This morning there was no guidance from anyone in authority. Really...
Read moreFirst time dining in the evening, what a wonderful experience it was. A nice warm welcome as we arrived, a BOYB the waiter kindly opened and poured our drinks for us. A bowl of olives was provided while we waited for our (pre-ordered) starters. As the menu rotates monthly I will talk about what I had but my wife was equally happy with hers. To start a homemade scotch egg, this is how scotch eggs should taste, perfectly crispy with soft juicy meat (venison I believe) with a perfectly cooked egg inside.
For the mains I had roast chicken with broccoli a cauliflower purée and mushrooms, all cooked to perfection. Not a fan of cauliflower but I could not taste it.
To finish a lovely cheeseboard, not a difficult dessert but still delicious.
I would highly recommend this place to everyone, easily the best place to eat in Gowerton. (Already looking forward to my...
