Taste Of Turner Ltd — Restaurant in Wales

Located in the sully car park Taste of Turner is my regular go to for fresh home cooked food with a smile, great size portions, great value, that I can often keep whats left for the next day.

They re-opened on Thursdays last week and I tried their legendary Gran’s Lasagne. Omg it came loaded with beef and cheese full of flavour, served with salted parmesan potatoes and feta salad. Sooo good!

Caribbean Curry Chicken or their steak curry are my all time favourite though. Both slow-cooked, nice and mild (mild kick on the steak) loads of meat! I like it with rice and griddled mac and cheese is seriously one that you'll keep coming back for. You have to try their dumplings, plantain and red slaw is my favourite between that and the pineapple version.

If youre feeling extra hungry you have to try their double Smashburger with Cheese – Two juicy patties, melted cheese, and their crispy chips taste as good as five guys if not better. Maybe they use peanut oil too, who knows but they're damn delicious.

I haven't been brave enough to attempt their hangover Trays but when I'm in the queue they get asked for a lot! Try them out, support local. You won't be...

I’m a born and bred Jamaican currently living in Wales, a good mate of mine said he had heard of Taste of Turner and recommended I try it out. I did and I was not disappointed. The food is absolutely delicious and I only have to close my eyes to imagine I’m back home - it’s that good! I’ve treated members of my family to it (including my mum and dad) and they are in agreement. If you’re after tasty Caribbean food, Taste of Turner is definitely worth a visit. I have eaten there many times and have never been disappointed. Simon’s curries are rich and packed with flavor and have loads of lush sides to go with them.

Portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, and the Simon and his family are really welcoming. Whether you’re grabbing a quick meal or sitting down for a proper feast (have a hangover tray with the pork!!) Taste of Turner is the place to go for amazing home...
