Thaidee — Restaurant in Wales

Visited before the last lockdown for a special takeaway treat for my cousin and hubby who had been a bit low with cancer treatment. Ordered 3 meals to go and although I really enjoyed the food, found something a bit sharp in my meal. I rang the shop and spoke to a woman there about my problem where she apologised and took my phone number saying that the owner would ring me back. When this didn't happen, I went back to the shop and showed the staff what I found in my meal (see photo). They looked at it and informed me that it was part of a scourer that had somehow found its way into my meal. Always great food when ordering for delivery or collection. Little disappointed last night when trying to pay using my American Express card. I chose to pay using this card as Thai Dee is currently participating in a Shop Small offer when spending £10 or more you receive £5 back. During the summer this was a fantastic promotion and worked without a hitch. Unfortunately this time round, the card was declined and on investigation, Thai Dee have stopped taking American Express without any warning on their website and the POS still displayed around the restaurant. Visiting my home town after 40 years away and a nice surprise to see things I still recognised as well as things new. Thaidee was one of the new things and what a nice surprise. The food was excellent, with wonderful flavours and fresh ingredients. I settled for a change cken and coconut flavoured soup for a starter followed by a green curry. Both perfectly cooked and very tasty. The staff were very welcoming, helpful and great company answering questions about the food and listening to my reminiscing about the town I left in the 1980s.
