Booked a booth for daughters birthday meal, when we arrived someone was already sitting in our pre booked booth, waitress cleared another table for us to sit at and apologised. 1 of the chairs were heavily stained which didn't look very nice but there we are it was a chair to sit on. Ordered food and drinks at the bar, diet coke was flat and only filled 3/4 as did not want ice, I've worked on a bar and have always filled a pint glass to the brim whether ice was wanted or not.. starter's of garlic bread arrived, however, I ordered 3 with cheese and 1 without, but 3 without cheese and 1 with cheese came out, explained the error and said just chuck some cheese on them and blast it in microwave, which was done. Our mains arrived which looked very nice and was very nice apart from mine and my daughters steak which was cooked right through and not medium and was too chewy and gristley and could only be fed to the dogs when we got home, everyone else's food to be fair was enjoyable. No checkbacks done by staff due to being understaffed so I blame management there. When our plates were being collected i was told that the chef had not made a mistake with our garlic bread and chef said I had to pay for the cheese!! I can only assume the guy at the bar had misheard me when I placed my order, however, had he read back to me my order and given a receipt this could of been sorted straight away. I really felt for this young person being told by a chef to tell the customer that they would have to pay for some cheese after spending over £80 on food and drinks, I would rather the chef come out and explain that to me rather than send a young person who had already had a few ear bashings from other customers. As a family we have all worked in hospitality and understand the pressure you are put under, hence why we got out of it.. You're young staff you have working there are trying their best and need to be looked after by management and not thrown to the wolves like they...

The Dunvant is on the main road, with access to a fair sized car park on a side street. There is a beer garden with ample seating. On arriving, there were clear markings for queuing to be seated, and a one way system in place. We were asked if we had the app, we didn't, we were told that was not a problem, and a member of staff would take our orders, we were then asked if we would like open a tab for our table, which we did, then we were shown to our table with menus. The staff were all helpful, polite and well presented. The levels of cleanliness were obvious, as there was one member of staff cleaning and sterilising tables when we arrived, and each table had a small sign that was placed after cleaning. The menu has a good selection of items to cater for most people, including larger and smaller kids meals. We ordered for 2 adults and 4 kids, our drinks arrived quickly, and our food arrived within 15 -20 minutes. The food was fantastic, I had an 8oz rump, lemon pepper sauce, fries and coleslaw. The steak was perfectly done, served on a sizzling plater, on a bed of peppers and onions, the sauce was outstanding, zingy, with a mild peppery kick. My partner had a 12 oz steak, with chips, peas, a grilled 1/2 tomato and onion rings, again the steak was cooked to perfection, served on a large oval platter. The kids all had pizza and chips with corn on the cob, the pizzas were individual deep dish, with a fair sized portion of chips and a small corn cobblet. For dessert the kids had a chocolate mania (a children's version of the candy mania adult dessert) ice-cream, I had the candy mania, my partner had apple crumble and custard, again everything arrived quickly. I can honestly say we all ate all our food and thoroughly enjoyed it, which rarely happens, as one of my kids is a picky eater. We were planning a return visit before we had even left the building, I highly...
Read moreMost of the Staff were pleasant enough but did,nt know what they were doing ,out of 4 meals ordered ,3 were lovely but a new york chicken ( I think that,s what it was called ) was inedible, the bacon was swimming in grease & the chicken was slimy ,the member of staff that dealt with our complaint offered a replacement meal or a refund ,we requested a refund as everyone else had finished eating.he returned to inform me that he had reversed the order that I had paid for & the money had been refunded but I would need to go back in to the restaurant with my card to pay for the other meals ,drinks etc. Before we left I checked my online banking & found two payments pending but no refund!! Went to enquire about this to the same person, who then spent around 10 -15 mins "playing" around with the till ,I think he could tell by now that I was getting impatient so he went to the till that I had originally made my transaction & just "plonked"cash in my hand .I checked the amount & found that he had only deducted £1.60 for the uneaten meal ,I said to him that I had paid more than this for the meal ,he glared at me opened the till again took out £5 & threw it at me & said "see you".we then left the premises & returned to the car ,as I was ready to drive away ,this person ran up to my car window & said "Sorry if you thought I was a bit off with you in there" obviously he knew he had overstepped the mark !! I didn't reply & simply drove off instead of telling him exactly what was on my mind!!! Also we are our meal in the beer garden ,there was a hand sanitizing station to the entrance but this was empty so I mentioned it to a passing waitress ,she said she would get it refilled straight away ,it was still empty when we left !! Luckily I always carry sanitizer in my bag .Some members of staff need more training as the lack of it lets...
