We booked a table for dinner (tea) online and on arrival we were initially ignored by the host until my daughter got his attention, we were pointed towards a table that had our name on but wasn't informed whether we ordered at the bar, online or if it was table service so we helped ourselves to the menu which we all agreed seemed a little limited. Once we decided what to have we attempted to order online but it wasn't working so we headed to the bar, the man at the bar was polite and took our order and applied a ÂŁ5 voucher that I had for being on their mailing list and we headed back to our table to await our food. My wife ordered the large plate gammon which was undercooked but probably just personal preference so let it slide. My daughter ordered Mac and cheese with bacon which was quite small for the price and my son had scampi chips and peas which he said was ok. I ordered the large plate chicken tikka which came with poppadoms and onion bhajis however the bhajis were cold and uncooked and went to sloppy mush when I removed them from my plate, we spoke to a waitress who offered to replace them but I was put off so I decided to carry on and eat the rest. The curry itself wasn't piping hot although the rice was nice, I also had a side of chips which were overcooked. For dessert the kids each had a sundae, I had brownie and my wife had waffle, all were fine apart from one of the sundaes which had a piece of plastic approximately 3 inches long and curved in it which my son had scooped into his mouth and nearly choked on it, my wife immediately went to the bar to complain and initially spoke to our original barman who then passed it to another employee and we was informed it was part of the ice cream tub, she apologised and asked if he was ok and that was that. During our visit we weren't the only table with issues, the table behind were missing part of their order, the table to our left had to send his chicken back as it wasn't cooked and a table in the corner still hadn't received their starters after we'd finished 2 courses, I also had to inform a man that a waiter had dropped a steak knife behind his foot that he would have stood on if he left his seat, dropped by the guy who initially ignored us, who was rude to others and rushed about like an headless chicken. We came here 3 times during a visit to Rhyl during Covid and that experience was so much better than today's and the 2 stars we're giving it is very generous.

Somewhat disappointing, painfully slow service, was seated to eat facing a wall full of damp, mould and flaking plaster, no toilet paper in the toilet, in fact the toilet roll dispenser had been removed from the wall, the tap on the sink was permanently running, wasting water, couldn't be turned off, I reported this to a member of staff but they didn't seem the least bit interested. Staff kept bumping into our table and chairs during our meal as there was no clear pathway for them taking food to and from the tables outside, had to ask three times for our desserts to be brought over as we had obviously been forgotten about. The food itself was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. The Manager was clearly out of her depth and everything seemed very unorganised on the day we visited which is a great shame as I have a lot of fond memories of this place, it is in a great location and has got potential to be so much better but you really need to get your act together.

Just come back into the ffrith it has had a revamp, New food menu and all new staff, a very pleasant experience lovely food two members very friendly and nice Lena & Arron went out of their way to spend time to talk to us, as being a local for many years I stop coming because it went right down on food standards friendliness. So on, So Glad it's been looked at and put Right , and now we have a great local family pub to come back into. I would recommend people who stopped coming, to come and give it another try and I'm sure they will not be disappointed in the results 😉

2 stars for the price, but I suppose you get what you pay for is the trade off…

Table was very sticky but thought nothing of it, it’s a pub after all. The first place we sat down some chavvy customers decided to sit in the outside area with a Bluetooth speaker blaring, so we moved seats to the back of the venue. Would’ve thought a member of staff might nip that one in the bud. Second table was also sticky. Then waited 25 minutes for toasted club sandwiches, one of which wasn’t even toasted, and both weren’t even a club sandwich really, it was some toppings on one part and a thin layer of salad between the other 2 slices of bread. So I basically got a regular sandwich with an extra slice of bread as a topping. My partner’s ‘cheese melt’ club sandwich was just cheese sauce and salad on bread, a mistake on our part for thinking it would come with actual cheese too but nope. However, the hair that came with it was a bonus topping we didn’t expect. Oven chips as a side order completed the below par experience.

Can’t wait for the automated response from the company as I’ve seen on every other review. May as well just write it myself, grammatical mistake included:

Thank you for your feedback, we are sorry on this occasion we have not exceeded your expectations and what we pride ourselves on delivering, we hope to see you in the future and we have taken your feedback onboard and shared with the relevant departments to improve on what we do.

I honestly don’t have words. We were so excited to come to this highly spoken destination. We entered excited to try some tasty food and experience the comfortable setting. We left feeling let down and totally disgusted with what we sat through. Firstly we were seated the middle of the floor. Now I fully understand the capacity was high however this certain table was super sticky, contained no natural light and the heat was as hotter than the inside of an erupting volcano. How the owners and staff thought this was acceptable I do not know. We were then told about the 1 hour wait for food. Don’t get me wrong I am happy waiting that time in a nice place but I felt like we were trapped inside a swarming bee hive. People screaming, no cold air. It was hell. Furthermore the bar was also a disappointment. I went in at one point and I was so suprised. I was suprised as it was actually nice. Clean, quiet, cool but then my quick glimpse of hope turned off again when I saw no children allowed. Now I understand little children but I have a teenager and I don’t see why he would not be allowed in. Personally I think this is one of the worst places I have been and completely recommend people to avoid at all costs or bare the consequences. Finally I would like to say to the owners listen to the feedback and improve on it as I see many who share the same opinion as my own. Signing off, a very...
