The Happy Hedgehog Cafe — Restaurant in Wales

My friend and I go to Hungry Hedgehog every Friday from 9am - 12pm. It is our fastest 3 hours of our week. It’s not just a cafe for us, it’s so much more. We take our crafting (Pom Pom wreaths, crochet, knitting) find a table. We grab a cuppa and we start…natter knit laugh crochet natter laugh another cuppa, maybe with a sausage and bacon bap, delicious soups or one of their enticing cakes (we are slowly working through their menu). There has never been pressure to eat anything. The cafe staff are lovely, approachable and attentive, nothing is too much bother, even down to my bacon needing super crisping. The atmosphere is so relaxed, with many friendly regulars (singles, couples, groups, friends meeting up) who we’ve had laughs and chats with. The prices…I’ll whisper…very reasonable…sshh. The haberdashery is a super additional bonus, stocking bits and bobs for most crafting needs as well as handmade toys and yards and yards of the most beautiful material. I visited my Grandson who attends University in Wrexham and I was told about this cafe so we visited. No problem parking the car , although the cafe was quite full we found a table,ordered cheese and ham toasties although there was quite a varied menu. We met the owner Apra who could not have been more helpful. There were a lot of bottles and jars of homemade produce at quite reasonable prices. Love this cafe, they have a lovely choice of food and all very well tasty. All the added little touches like, crisps in a little dish with salads, salad dressing in a tiny little jug. There are many that shows they take pride in what they make. Love meeting my friend here for lunch. Staff are so lovely and attentive. Lovely choice of home made cakes that are too nice to not taste!
