Stopped off at this charming little cafe yesterday before heading out on to the lake. Really warm and welcoming in side, but small so might struggle for inside seating at some times of the year. We were there ona rather raining day so was all good Coffees were proper job and the toasted sandwiches (tuna melt and bacon and brie) were both cooked spot on and served with a bit of salad and a few crisps. Toasties were around the £7 mark maybe a pound or two above what I would expect but for the location and business it was fine. Coffee was standard £3.50ish price point.

Lady who served us was really lovely and friendly with excellent customer service. Great range of stuff on the menu, but they had run out of Welsh cakes much to the Mrs disappointment.. Still can't have it all..

Will definitely be back next time I'm at Bala lake.

Nothing to fault them on, lovely little cafe busines...

Disappointing, incredibly over priced for what you get and below average service.

Cheesy chips were just some chips with grated cheese on, no attempt to melt even after asking them to, the chips were taken away for 5 minutes and returned as they were given.

Ordered a child's cheese and ham toastie which was £4 and a regular bacon and cheese toastie which was £6... The toasties were exactly the same size. At The Loch Cafe you're charged an extra £2 for the same meal. The toasties themselves weren't that bad in terms of taste or quality, not worth the £6 in my opinion but certainly not worth £6 when I can get the same thing in the same shop for £4.

If you eat here, just order from the kids menu and save...

Mixed review on this cafe. Staff and service lovely, location beautiful, although the view is obscured by the caravan parked outside.

Value for money, I would say not sadly. £11.50 for a small breakfast which was 1 egg, 2 sausages, 2 bacon, beans and 1 toast and 1 fried bread. No tea included.

Fried bread was absolutely not cooked enough. Basically slightly crisp oil soaked slice.

I would definitely go back for another cup of tea though. Best tea I’ve had and you get a decent amount, and a pot of hot water alongside it.

Appreciate cafes have a competitive market, and we don’t mind paying a little extra but on this occasion we were left a bit...

I enjoyed a lovely cooked breakfast here this morning. It was well cooked using fresh ingredients. Nice Flat white coffee too. Lots of people moaning over prices when leaving a review. You get what you pay for, if you don't want to pay, take sandwiches, save money, stop moaning, people are trying to make a living. Staff were friendly and Polite. No toilet on site though, you have to use public ones a short walk away, but they are spotless. Only thing I wasn't keen on was Julio Inglesa piped music 🤣🤦‍♂️ But it didn't spoil my breakfast. Thanks.

You won't find a prettier place to eat lunch on Lake Bala! The Loch Cafe is a homely little stop on the edge of Lake Bala with a beautiful view that serves breakfast and lunch foods, pastries, cakes, and a wide selection of ice cream. Whilst the food is slightly on the expensive side (£7 for a toastie), it is a family run business so I never mind paying a little extra. Plenty of parking behind the cafe by the lake. Definitely a popular spot for bikers!

Spontaneous stop for breakfast and wasn't disappointed. Although inside is very small and seating is old church puws we chose to sit in the Amazing huge garden to the rear which made it that much better. Breakfast was excellent vaule for money and was of real good quality and a large breakfast for a "small" which was excellent value. Only disappointed is no toilets on site and a 5 min walk to public toilets along the huge carpark. Would definitely return.
