Stopped off at this charming little cafe yesterday before heading out on to the lake. Really warm and welcoming in side, but small so might struggle for inside seating at some times of the year. We were there ona rather raining day so was all good Coffees were proper job and the toasted sandwiches (tuna melt and bacon and brie) were both cooked spot on and served with a bit of salad and a few crisps. Toasties were around the £7 mark maybe a pound or two above what I would expect but for the location and business it was fine. Coffee was standard £3.50ish price point.
Lady who served us was really lovely and friendly with excellent customer service. Great range of stuff on the menu, but they had run out of Welsh cakes much to the Mrs disappointment.. Still can't have it all..
Will definitely be back next time I'm at Bala lake.
Nothing to fault them on, lovely little cafe busines...
Read moreDisappointing, incredibly over priced for what you get and below average service.
Cheesy chips were just some chips with grated cheese on, no attempt to melt even after asking them to, the chips were taken away for 5 minutes and returned as they were given.
Ordered a child's cheese and ham toastie which was £4 and a regular bacon and cheese toastie which was £6... The toasties were exactly the same size. At The Loch Cafe you're charged an extra £2 for the same meal. The toasties themselves weren't that bad in terms of taste or quality, not worth the £6 in my opinion but certainly not worth £6 when I can get the same thing in the same shop for £4.
If you eat here, just order from the kids menu and save...
Read moreMixed review on this cafe. Staff and service lovely, location beautiful, although the view is obscured by the caravan parked outside.
Value for money, I would say not sadly. £11.50 for a small breakfast which was 1 egg, 2 sausages, 2 bacon, beans and 1 toast and 1 fried bread. No tea included.
Fried bread was absolutely not cooked enough. Basically slightly crisp oil soaked slice.
I would definitely go back for another cup of tea though. Best tea I’ve had and you get a decent amount, and a pot of hot water alongside it.
Appreciate cafes have a competitive market, and we don’t mind paying a little extra but on this occasion we were left a bit...
