Lovely pub grub. friendly staff very relaxed atmosphere, I had gammon with sweet potato fries and my partner had a steak with normal chips, for dessert we both had treacle sponge with ice-cream, steak was cooked beautifully and my gammon had lovely flavour, unfortunately the cheesy garlic bread was late coming and slightly burned around the edges, but we were both full by then anyway

Came with my partner and we both ordered off the 2 for £20 lunch menu. I had a cheese burger and chips and my partner had a cod and chips and it was delicious! The portion sizes were just perfect - a good amount if chips on the side too! And the service from the bar was lovely. Will definitely visit again:)

A very clean well run establishment serving a variety of reasonably priced meals to suit all tastes and diets. The food was fresh and hot and served after only a short wait. All foods are well presented ( a child's high chair is available). The drinks were very good and the staff are very obliging.

OMG what can I say! Amazing place for Sunday lunch! Would have given 10 stars if that were an option! We phoned at 2pm to see if they'd be able to fit 2 of us in for lunch before they stopped serving at 3pm, and were told yes, come on down and they'd fit us in. When we got there, I presume it was the manager, saw I have a crutch to walk with, and got us a more suitable table. When the lunch came out we were pleasantly surprised with the servings. We are so used to only getting a couple of slices of wafer thin meat when we go out out for sunday lunch, but on our plates were lovely thick slices of beef and lamb (and lots of it too). Then the veg and gravy boat came out and we served ourselves from the dish. The one small issue my husband had was that he could have eaten more veg, but I told him I'm sure if we'd asked we could have ordered more. We didn't stay for dessert, but they looked amazing too. Some of the big chains should take a leaf out their book with their portion size! All in all I would highly recommend The Manselton Hotel if you want a stunning sunday dinner!...

we live close by, so decided we would go to the (Mans) for lunch for our Anniversary this week. my word what a lovely welcome we had. greeted as we arrived by a very polite young lady to direct us to our table, then another young lady came to the table to ask if we required drinks. there was no rushing hurrying to get us in & gone, it was such a lovely relaxed experience. the staff are very polite & helpful. the food is of a very good standard ( & i'm very fussy about what I eat) & at a very reasonable price but everything was perfect. i couldn't recommend this establishment highly enough. my thanks to all the staff for making it a lovely experience. there is a disabled access point & plenty of room for mobility inside. Well worth a visit if you get the chance. 5 Stars...

Went today with a friend having not been there since last year. It has to be one of the worst meals we have ever had. My friend ordered chicken tikka, the chicken looked undercooked to the point she left the whole meal. I ordered steak which was tasteless and bordering on an old piece of leather, the peppercorn sauce came out in a gravy boat full of lumps so much so I could have stood a fork in it. If you’re after a tidy meal then avoid at all costs. We then sat outside and the table and chairs are rotten and practically falling apart. Such a shame as it used to be a lovely place to go no wonder...
