Hiks — Restaurant in Wales

First time visit tonight, absolutely awful. Waited half an hour for food. I get online orders come first so excepted that. Ordered onion rings, chicken nuggets, curry sauce and chips and rissole but didn’t receive the chips with nuggets finding out when home. All cost £19+. All food binned not even the dog would eat the rissole. Food laid out on counter no offer of a bag. Asked for a bag at 30p cost. The only positive comment I have is the guy behind the counter cooking the food apologised for our wait which was nice. I’ll never go there again. Money down the drain.

The owner has responded to my comment. Firstly I do not expect a bag to be free. I would have appreciated the offer of a bag instead of the employee expecting me to carry my items individually to the car. Secondly I’m fully aware bags are not free last I heard they were 15p, thirdly put the money from my missed item in the charity box as I will never set foot in the establishment again, I serve better food to my dog. I’ve also noticed how the owners reply doesn’t acknowledge the photos of the slop we were served.

We usually visit penderry fish shop with no problems at all. Food is always top quality. It’s a pity we were in the area of Hiks...

Today was my first time of eating in at Hiks Swansea. We were greeted and served by the Owner, He was an absolutely outstanding guy, really pleasant and helpful and friendly (Something that is getting rare in Swansea, these days!) I can't praise him highly enough he was absolutely fantastic! The food was absolutely amazing, lovely and hot, big portion's and really tasty, everyone really enjoyed every single mouthful of our wonderful lunch! There is also parking and outside tables in a grassed area too! A wonderful and friendly welcome by the staff and the Owner (Sorry I forgot to ask your name). Hiks is everything and more that you could ever wish for, It's Pleasant and Outstandingly Clean Surroundings, Lovely Staff and Amazing Manager/Owner, Beautiful Food, Massive Portions and Really Good Price's! Partner went down to get me only onion rings and a BATTERED sausage and returned with a regular one, I'm autistic so this literally messed me up, I have an order I eat things in, and if anything starts getting cold I can no longer eat, so rang up to basically tell them that the sausage was wrong, they suggested to come down and pay the difference to replace it if the other was brought back, mind you I'd already trashed it. It's not like it was a big order, if it was I could understand but just TWO items and they didn't even listen properly to the order, having to go out and replace it ( which we didn't as I'm no longer eating as onion rings were starting to go cold, so what was the point?) I get it's not a normal issue for some, but for autistic with sensery issues as well as ocd with their food, it's messed up the whole day, and when these things happen I don't eat for the rest of the day.
