My wife, daughter and I went in for Sunday lunch. Initially thought the building could do with a lick of paint, looking at it from the outside but then I realised shortly after going in that money could be far better spent inside. Even if it was paying a cleaner or something simple like scrapping all the dry gum off from under the tables. Quick trip to the bar and surprise surprise you could get 5 shots for a tenner.....always a good tone setter for any fine dining establishment. The carvery ! The meat ! Should be the centre piece of any carvery, a mixture of turkey, pork and beef was on offer. A mix it was mostly a pile of scraps left over. Just looking at them made my eyes dry, let alone the searing pain of dryness when I actually put some in my mouth. Unfortunately the red cabbage, roast potatoes and York shire pudding had all ran out.....but I was assured not to panic there was plenty of mash left....I took one look at the "mash" and quietly smiled while remarking "no wonder" It looked like white playdoh and when trying to scoop it out bent the spoon. After a few mouth full we all decided that a sandwich from tesco was probably a far better option. even my Labrador turned his nose up at the food ..and he eats his own poo.
However the star of the show was the mens restrooms...no lights, no mirror, the 2x4 botched onto the toilet door and the hand dryer the local hard nut had a disagreement with and punched. All in all a dreadful experience that I was glad to see disappear in my...

First gold star was coming in, waiting behind other people at the bar and the manager instantly made eye contact, greeted us with a smile, and said she'd be with us shortly. Amazing, it seldom happens these days, 10/10 for your customer service and that goes for the rest of your staff. The carvery was one of the best I've ever had and you obviously have a chef with flair as there were lovely touches like the rosemary in the roast veg, the creamy veg puree and giant home done yorkers. Was also delighted at pink beef, such a rarity on a carvery and a skill to do so well. Thumbs up and thanks all of you, will be joining the swelling ranks of your growing...

The food was truly delightful. The meats were superbly prepared, their flavors attesting to the culinary expertise of the chefs. A dessert, recommended by the chef, was the cherry on top of our meal.
