I can't believe they have dug up the majority of the park for a football pitch. Many happy memories over the years there with crazy golf, trampolining, the park (original one by the school),dinosaur world and the boating lake when it was still going. Now there's not much left for the family to enjoy.Such a waste ☹The childrens park is outdated and in need of talc. Not that much to entice families there anymore.

Went for the circus. Granddaughter loved the park and seeing the swans and ducks on the lake. Very safe and great big field to run off energy. Was clean and well kept equipment in the park and fully enclosed. The circus was fantastic and a great summer edition to the park. Plenty of parking and would be great for a picnic on a Sunny day.

Parked up for a few hours on the sea front at Colwyn Bay to unwind and relax. And, not that this is anything to do with the place, but the weather was lovely. The cost for parking on the sea front was a reasonable price, and the public toilets were nice and clean (and free) 😁 Left feeling recharged and happy.

Edit 30th Sept 2017. I am sorry to read some recent underserved negative reviews. The 'lake' has not had boats for many years but is being developed in some small way into 'nature reserve', the lake is neither dirty, a bog or full of rubbish, neither is the park unkempt.

Eirias is a public park that feels safe and is family friendly. A well equipped playground that caters for all ages, as well as an enclosed area that is well worth exploring and creating an adventure in. An old boating lake that is now home to ducks and swans (to feed if you are allowed to)? The park as others have noted could do with some extra care BUT there is nature and there is beauty to be found. I hope that my pictures give an honest impression both of the natural surroundings and of the changing seasons. The ponds although not very large support a variety of wildlife. The addition of some reed beds in the larger old boating lake has added to the variety of birds and I time will attract other creatures. The leasure centre has toilets and a café, lower down the park towards the bowls green and the tennis courts there is a kiosk that sells ice cream and others eats. Also in that direction and lower down again is Porth Eirias, the front, the beach and the prom. It has taken me a while to discover all of the hidden paths, dells and clearings in the park. The park maybe small, in need of care and the amenities may not be perfect but the park has beauty if only you are...

This is my 6 year old sons favourite park. He loves the zip wire in particular, and the basket swing. There's a large green space for kicking a football around, a lake with ducks and indoor/outdoor tennis. There's a wooded area with a small adventure playground within. There are booths for refreshments and bike hire, but sadly these have gone into disrepair and aren't being used. Regardless, this is probably the best community park/playground in the conwy area by far, and well worth a visit to spend time without having to...

The park used to be nice, now half of it is a building site with cheap new builds and what is left of the Civic centre has been abandoned. Fine if you need somewhere to walk your dog or you are using some of the adjacent sports facilities, but hugely let down by an incompetent town council. The bowling greens are the only real flat bit of grass which unfortunately attracts alcohol and football. So I expect even the bowls isnt particularly pleasant...
