We have spent over £200 with this restaurant through Uber Eats, thinking we were supporting a local business at a time when many are struggling. At first the food was fine — sometimes OK, sometimes good — and I particularly enjoyed their chicken curry on the bone.
Recently, when I tried to order again, Uber wouldn’t deliver to my postcode. My husband drove to the restaurant to collect it for me and politely asked if they could take the chicken off the bone, as I am disabled and it makes the meal much easier for me to enjoy.
The response was disgraceful: “Why would we do that? We don’t help anybody.”
After showing loyalty and spending good money, we were told outright that they “don’t help anybody.” That single comment says everything about how little they value their customers — especially those who may need even the smallest reasonable adjustment.
Hospitality is supposed to be about care, service, and respect. Instead, this restaurant made us feel dismissed and unwelcome. At a time when restaurants are asking for support, this is not the way to treat people.
We will never return — and I would urge others to think carefully before spending...
Read moreBooked a table for 7.30pm last night to be met with other people waiting to be seated, took a good 20 minutes to be seated and that felt as if other people on the table were being hurried to leave. The restaurant was to full capacity so very busy, customers were getting very frustrated at the very long delays and poor communication from front of house team. Our starter came quite quickly after ordering, but it soon went down hill again more people asking where were the tables after booking the day before, delivery drivers just standing around for ages waiting for their orders all a bit farcical, staff running around like headless chickens, one customer even walked into the kitchen to find out what was going on. Over booked over whelmed more like the royal rumble, it was after 9pm before we recieved our mains and there was no apologies or offer of a free drink to smooth over relations with their customers. Food was great when it did eventually arrive but very poor service from an established restaurant will not be returning...
Read moreA very good restaurant. We always come for birthdays as it's a short walk for us, but I'd travel further because this is no ordinary Indian restaurant. Firstly they have a bar area which means one can relax with a drink after arrival before heading for the tables, and what a restaurant it is! Large, roomy and comfortable, you don't feel crammed in as other restaurants make you feel. They have one round table in the middle that must have had fifteen people sat round it while we were there. As for the food, well, what can I say that hasn't been said already? It is superb, and we've never been let down with constantly high standards throughout. If you have a celebration coming up, or just want to have a meal out with a partner or friends, this is the place for you. It's not the cheapest restaurant, but you get what you pay for, and what you get here is Indian food of the...
