Wow what a place,so firstly if you go there on a Sunday with your kids and they don't eat Sunday dinner,(like mine who got learning problems)then they basically won't eat nothing as thats all they do on a Sunday (no wear on the website it states that)the Pepsi was flat and the food was cold the mash was lumpy and the veg was hard the cauliflower cheese looked like it was swimming in oil,it's a big fat no from us

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner in The Shipwright Inn. The decor is very cosy without being tacky. The food was excellent, as were the drinks. The landlady was fantastic and bubbly, she made us feel really welcome. We cannot fault anything about our visit there. We definitely hope to return one day when we're back in the area. We had a wonderful evening, and we cannot thank you enough!

I came in for just one pint as I spotted they had Tenby Harbwr on Cask but was greeted by an amazing landlord who just had the energy and enthusiasm that wanted to make you stay for another pint. I ended up having the veg Thai curry that was amazing. The portion size is crazy and the taste was something else. I can see why this place has the reputation locally.

We returned here for Sunday lunch, as we had tried it for food a few months previous and we were impressed!! On arriving we were shown to our table, there were a few people waiting but only one table of four eating, the service was painfully slow ( waiting over an hour for our lunch). One young girl seemed to be doing everything, bar, waitress and kitchen assistant, there was another staff member floating about but all she seemed to do was talk. We should have left after half an hour waiting but we were hungry so stayed. We had to take cutlery from an adjoining table as our table wasnt set although reserved. The lunch arrived after an age, OMG the worst roast we have had, the food was stone cold, the roast pots were hard and WHITE! The pigs in blankets werent even on the plate. Peas and carrots were watery, the yorkshires were burnt - these we could see from our seats were kept in Tupperware boxes on a shelf ( uncovered and cold) and were plonked on the plate just as it left the kitchen. The only hot dish, that we had to pay £1 extra for & I assume the item that was heated in the microwave ( we could hear the tell tale beeps) was the cauli cheese which turned out to be broccolli in what tasted like a blue cheese sauce 🤮 I HATE BLUE CHEESE. If I’m not mistaken the gravy tasted like “maggi” gravy usually used in hospitals and old peoples homes. The whole lunch was tasteless. On leaving I asked the very busy young lady if the chef had been changed in the last few months to which she replied yes, I told her it showed and said that she could go to the kitchen and tell them that it was the worst meal we have had and that I was taking it home to cook it properly ( I HATE WASTING FOOD especially when you pay £32), there was no apology or any sign of a discount, we wont be back, we’ll keep driving to a place nearby their sunday lunch is outstanding for the same price and cauli cheese is included at no extra cost. I wish i had asked to see their temperature records to see the holding temperature of the meat and gravy, I did look for a food rating I’m not saying they don’t have one its just not easily...

We happened upon this lovely pub/restaurant today by chance. We are in the area on a holiday with my parents and had been out enjoying a relaxed day visiting a castle and market and decided to look for somewhere for lunch. First we were turned away from a restaurant closer to town, we found the Shipwright on Google with a 10 min walk and took a chance. Upon arrival we were met by a couple locals leaving with their takeaway carvery. I asked if could fit a table of 5 and within seconds we were sitting at table 2 awaiting drinks. We had a mixture of carvery meals ordered and soon on our way to choose our vegetables. All was superb, even chose and ate the crispy parsnips and I hate parsnips, couldn't fault a thing. Both ladies (possibly mother and daughter) were delightfully pleasant and couldn't have been more helpful. To us the place felt a little off the beaten track and had a constant flow of pre booked customers which is always a good sign. Thank you so much for fitting us in last minute. ...

AVOID IF YOU ARENT WHITE/ DONT LIKE RACISM We went as a family of 5 to this pub as we were holidaying in wales . We were shocked and disgusted and the experience we faced here. When we entered the staff simply glared at us up and down, didn’t seat us and when we did sit down just stared at us and didn’t come to take our order despite the fact that the place was COMPLETELY EMPTY . This was undoubtedly due to the colour of our skin , as when a white customer came in after us the attitude towards them was completely different ( they were greeted , seated and given menus). We asked if we could eat and the staff responded ‘ if you want’ and didn’t even give us a menu . After several minutes we were very upset at the obvious contempt the staff held towards us and we left . My kids were very upset and I am truly appalled at this shocking...
