Three of us visited and had an evening meal only. The mixed grill. Unfortunately, this was not a good meal the chicken was overcooked this might be a personal preference, but for our tastes it was definitely overcooked. We ordered the steak as rare as possible, however, it came out well done. The peas were also overcooked. The onion ring was soft, not crispy. Chips were chunky and were overcooked and had either been double cooked or cooked in really dirty oil. The eggs were the only thing well cooked. The ultimate southern-fried chicken burger. The fries were average. The southern fried chicken was overcooked, but not massively so. The hash browns were tasteless, but chunky and so soft they fell apart trying to eat them. The lettuce was going brown, so I didnt eat it. The bbq sauce in the burger was sweet, but nice. The gravy was poorly made (lumpy, oily and watery) and had a skin on top. The burger sauce was lovely, but also had a skin on top. The cheese was fine, but not much of it. The ultimate spicy beef burger. The only complaint was skin on the burger sauce. He loved it! As two chefs, we can only say the cook in the kitchen had timing issues, for the onion ring, sauces, lettuce and hash browns to be the way they were. At no point did anyone come to ask about how the food was or see if we needed anything. If they had, we would have said something then. The man that served us (I didn't get his name, but he was the only man working at the time) was great. Really helpful, very nice and yet professional. The building itself is lovely and quite well placed. Lots of parking, some for disabled and two electric charging points that I could see.

Went there on Sunday 6th Feb 2022. Front of house staff were very polite and welcoming. I ordered my food which was a prawn starter. When the food came out it was still frozen. I told a member of staff who apologised. When my replacement came out I found that it was the same food as I sent back that had just been pu back in the fryer. It became clear to me that the kitchen staff were not interested in providing a decent meal. As my main came out luke warm too. I didn't mention this as really didn't want to hang around any longer. I paid for the main and drink as the starter was taken off the bill. I would not recommend this place for the food if I was paid to. Very very poor standards.

Upon arrival we were met with friendly prompt staff who welcomed us to our table. We ordered the festive menu for our Christmas Dinner but due to the previous reputation of the place we were prepared to have to cook Christmas day if it wasn't very good. We had booked and paid online although I didn't fill out the preorder menu as I didn't read the form properly and just assumed the food form was for bigger tables as we were only a family of 4. We chose a 2 course festive menu however as it was a Sunday there was also the normal roast and other choices available too. It wasn't too much trouble that we hadnt fill out the form. The waiter brought us the food choices and we accepted that one of the choices was now not available as they hadn't catered for our food choices because I didn't fill out the form. Our starters arrived soon after and they were delicious we really enjoyed them. Our main meal was turkey dinner, we waited longer for this course and a bigger table that came in after us got their Sunday roast menu food before us but our festive menu mains arrived soon after. The meal was OK not big portions just standard but the gravy was very watery and the meal itself was not a tasty roast it seemed a little bland. Roast potatoes had some flavour to them we did look at puddings after our main as some on our table were still hungry after the 2 courses, one of the puddings was not available. However, the Sunday roast dinners that were being served on other tables were much larger, looked plentiful and also lots more meat choices. For a 2 course festive menu the cost was £18.95. For a Sunday Roast and pudding was roughly £18-£19 and a go large roast was an extra £2 so upon seeing the size and quality of the Sunday Roast dinner along with the price we actually felt like we should have chosen a roast instead of the festive menu for quality and price it would have been much better value for money. We actually felt like a festive choice should have been better quality and that bit more extra special but it turned out to be the other way round. We ended up ordering and paying for the puddings on the sepreate menu and paying more than the festive menu because there was more pudding choices, however, we did wait over 45 minutes for puddings and then we asked the waitress where they were. She got them for us promptly afterwards. Overall it was OK we will return but we wouldn't choose the Festive menu again we would go for the roast instead for value for money and also the availability of choices would be better. The staff and...

We have been here over 100 times over the last 7yrs for most family occasions always been met with friendly staff and mostly good food (quality has been going down but staff made up for it) We will never return again your assistant manager(I've not met her before) had a problem with me from the start she said you have never done tabs I've always paid at the end of our meals especially as there are normally 10 plus people so this was a lie she said I was wrong and I've never had a tab, the children's meals were OK there were 7 as my daughters birthday but the starter chicken wings were not great the chicken nuggets are different not great, didn't ask for discount as it was eaten, the desserts were great simple and good value. My sons indian onion bar were burnt but again he still ate them just put it down to bad experience don't ask for refunds as this just looks like your trying to get out of paying, my friends nachos were awful she didn't finish them at all and we the adults did not order food after the starters my Sons big burger was OK came with cheese thou even thou I said no cheese or sauce, the staff have changed too not friendly didn't help me with the 11 pints of Pepsi Max I have MS and I struggle to walk so didn't order anymore drinks we haven't got out much in the last 7months as I've been in hospital so this was a celebration that I'm out and about again, it's ashame it's gone downhill so much, the staff could have saved the mediocre food but they should not be in customer service it was like I had done something wrong by asking for a tab and being called a liar ever thou we have done it 100times before. But the 3 cheese things I had were superb but was better before with the chilli sauce not the bbq but was still really good, children 8 of them had, starter, main and pudding, 1 adult had starter and main, I just had a starter and we all had 1 large Pepsi max just because I didn't want to go up to the empty bar where 3 staff were serving a handful of tables it wasn't busy at 4 when we got there where someone could have helped me with our drinks. Sad it's the end for...

I don't like to leave negative reviews so this one is a neutral one based on personal experience. Yours may differ. My wife and I went for a date night and yes it was a Friday but early. She had the steak and I had the hunters chicken. Her steak was cold and overcooked. I think they forgotten about it and it sat waiting for a food runner. It took forever to get the food and when it arrived it was not good. To put it into perspective we could of had three drinks before it arrived and then when we wanted to say something it also took forever for a server to come over unless we flagged someone down. The young guy when we told him looked like a deer in headlights. My meal was done but hers since it was cold and tuff we just didn't want it and thus sent if back with no worries to remake since I was done. The guy never came back nor did any one come to our table at all and we sat there for quite a while disappointed. No one came to ask us how was our meal or anything, nothing at all. We just got up paid the full bill and left to mark this place off as not again. Shame as we did like this place and did like the guy who greets ya but on this day he wasn't there. Our date night experience here was a little more than 2 hours and it was all waiting for the food then waiting for anyone. it wasn't like we were not in a non noticeable spot but by the front near the bar. I think they dropped the ball for food runners and or servers. They could of made good money on more drinks and or desserts buy asking how our meal was but no one came over to our table. I would have definitely ordered more drinks but was just disappointed and frustrated in the situation. We also sent a support email to the parent company website to help raise the bar but never heard back. Shame as it was...
