Our recent stay at the Springfield Hotel was mostly possitive. The check-in process was smooth and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had all the necessary amenities, but it lacked any standout features. The bed was comfortable, but the noise from the bathroom fan, heating system and corridor was a bit loud at times. We also couldn't close the bathroom door without using a force, and had issues with hot water. The hotel's location was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions, shops etc. The hotel's restaurant offered a selection of food, but too many positions in menu were from Indian cuisine. We went for fish & chips / burger / lasagne, and food was good. Surprisingly the breakfast was included in the room price, and it was decent. No food options on Sundays other than the sunday roast in few varieties, but it was good, and the portion was too big for a human being :) Overall, our experience at the Springfield Hotel was neither exceptional nor disappointing. It served its purpose as a place to stay, and we would come back if few things were fixed, and for the service/staff-sake as these people were realy, realy nice, friendly and helpful.

So we got here on Wednesday with our little girl and the service is and was outstanding by Kevin and his lovely lovely chef the breakfast was Absaloutley incredible seriously guys !!! And they did it just for us that morning wow. The rooms are so cosy and comfortable nothing bad to say. We will 100% be coming back again especially when it’s hot and sunny due to the service was just amazing love Ellis Andy and Penelope ( ps even writing this from being hungover from the wedding haha ) xxx Wish you guys all the best Kevin and John superb

Popped in here for a couple of pints after we visited the nearby beach. Nice pub/hotel, really friendly staff. We asked if they were serving food, & was told no, not till later, but they could sort us out with some bowls of chips if we wanted them too. When the chips came out they were in 2 huge bowls & the chips were amazing. Absolutely delicious. Also they have free WiFi which can be useful as it's extremely difficult to get a mobile signal in that area.

Upon arrival, our room card was left on the reception desk alongside other guests’ cards. There was no staff in sight, and we did not encounter a single member of staff throughout our visit. There was no warm welcome and we felt that this would have given us a point of contact to speak to about the below issues.||When we entered our room, we discovered that it had not been properly cleaned. Thick cobwebs hung around the room and over the bed, and five dead daddy longlegs on side tables, one on the bed itself, windowsills and hanging in cobwebs. Dog hairs and dust covered all of the surfaces. The TV screen, bathroom mirror, and one of the mugs also had visible dirty marks.||The walls and ceiling had pieces of plaster and paint falling away, which detracted from the overall appearance of the room and there was chunks of plaster on the floors which added to the un-cleanliness and made us concious of walking around the room without shoes on.||Despite closing the windows, the loud disco music was immediately outside our room and went on until the early hours. I did approach reception but there was again no member of staff visible. The noise was particularly frustrating as not only was it the music from the disco but also other guests laughing and shouting, and we expected a quieter environment, especially from a room listed as 'executive suite'||Leaving the windows open whilst we went out for dinner resulted in a strong smell of smoke in our room. Customers visiting the disco stood below our windows smoking, which led to the room smelling of smoke.||The small tube of shampoo left in the bathroom appeared to have been used by a previous guest, as there was residue all over the cap. We did try to speak to the hotel in the morning but again, no staff were in sight. We emailed over our concerns to the hotel directly and sadly received no reply. They simply...
