Read moreTwo weeks ago we were on holiday in Wales.on the eve of our penultimate night there we had a very nice.,well presented not overly priced meal ..there were 7of us and a baby.We hadn't booked but we're looked after the moment we walked through the door.We were told that orders were not being taken until 6pm...we had arrived at 5.40 pm...at 5.50pm they very generously took our orders ...chef said "I am sure we can fit them in..."which was lovely. At 6.25 we had our meals on the table. They wrte short of staff owing to the day being the school exam results day...but that did not prevent the very pleasant and efficient attention our family received. when I went to pay I was talking to someone.who I presumed was the landlords wife when this very pleasant gentleman behind the bar started chatting to me..It turned out that he was the landlord...A very pleasant dimply faced man who mentioned to me that in one review he was called a Victor Meldrew type....I can honestly say rhat I don't know why...he was very mischievous and.chuckly and I promised I would say so.therefore dispelling that image. We came away having had an extremely good evening and want to go again when we next visit...may I also say that the waitress was very efficient and friendly and chatty even though she was rushed...

One forkful, and suddenly I was in a blissful haze of comfort, nostalgia, and sheer culinary joy. I almost expected a tiny cartoon chef to pop out of the kitchen.
The service was warm and welcoming, the atmosphere relaxed yet full of character, and by the end of the night I was already planning my next visit.
If you’re anywhere near Cenarth, do yourself a favour: go to The Three Horse Shoes, order the surf and turf, and prepare for your own Ratatouille...
