Tudor House Café Bar — Restaurant in Wales

I went to Tudor House for lunch with a friend and had breaded plaice and mushy peas. I haven't had plaice for a long time and while there I said to my friend this fish is very strong fishy taste, which she said was normal with plaice. I'd not eaten anything else that day. With in an hour I was throwing my guts up for at least 4 hours, thankfully it had not gone through my system. The vomit was just disgusting smelly fish. So I called the restaurant the day after, tried to explain and the male on the phone was so rude, said it must have been ok or I wouldn't have eaten it. It's bought in frozen and cooked, refused to accept it was the fish said it wouldn't be from here! Although I'd eaten nothing else that day. Wouldn't entertain a refund or an apology! It has a hygiene rating of 3, that my husband found out later. I tried to ring the day it happened but the restaurant was closed by the time I was well enough to phone, so I rang first thing the next morning. I mentioned reporting this and the male on the phone said you can please yourself what you do and hung up on me. If the whole batch of fish is off I'm concerned others...

As a regular yearly holiday we always come to Prestatyn and frequent Tudor House. Since I came this time last year Tudor House seems to have de cluttered slightly in the resteraunt, by not having as many plants and fish tanks in. As we sat down and were handed the menus I commented to the gentleman the difference from this year and last. He turned his back on us and whilst walking away and said "probably" Needless to say we walked out as we did not feel like valued customers. To this gentleman if you are fed up with you job, leave. I actually think that you are actually one of the owners. I was singing your establishment praises to my friend that came in for the first time. This is the second time you have done this, the first time I gave you the benefit of the doubt and you actually started talking to me, as I sat with an older lady who was a regular and had a conversation with her. Now I will never come to you again! There is a quaint tea shop further down the road which I will use as my return...

I’ve read a few reviews on here about the staff not interacting with customers…They take your order, ring you your food & leave you to eat it without asking ‘is everything ok with your food’ ? Just as you’ve put a forkful/spoonful of goodness in your mouth. I’m sure if there was anything wrong with your food, you can let them know but this to me is perfection service wise. I just want to order & eat without interacting. The staff are very lovely, the food is excellent quality & plenty of it. It’s very clean & yes there are lots of fish tanks with beautiful fish in them but they don’t make the place smell funny, they only add to the ambience of the place.

JUST GO & see & taste for yourselves…you won’t be disappointed…How do I know ? BECAUSE I SAID SO...
