We had lunch at Wavecrest Cafe today and it lived up to its great reputation! We sat in the sunshine with our dog in the tea garden. We arrived at 12pm as it opened, and there was quite a queue to order food. Staff were extremely busy, trying to take orders and serve everyone as quickly as possible, but they were cheerful and chatty and added to the lovely atmosphere of the place. When the food arrived, we were not disappointed. The 'juicy prawn platter' was absolutely delicious and the other members of my family really enjoyed the pulled pork and pulled beef. We appreciated the little touches such as the bottle of homemade salad dressing! We couldn't resist something sweet - all the cakes/scones looked amazing, so it was hard to decide! The ice cream was lovely and the special of the day - pineapple upsidedown cake with custard, was fantastic (huge portions too!). We will definitely return to this lovely cafe when we visit...

First visit to this lovely cafe today (Good Friday). Setting on Wales coastal path perfect. Ordered couple coffees, fries and fabulous cream scone to share with my elderly Mother. Slight mix up with till receipt and outside table number not marrying up caused bit of delay on food. When I went to counter to enquire the customer service was spot on....the fair haired male waiting on noticed something not right, offered 2 additional coffees on the house and food turned around instantly. Benchmarking a business on how effectively it deals with a minor issue, could not fault these guys....fabulous setting, highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to go back...cream scone best I've seen and I grew up in bakery...

What a place to visit omg one of the best places for food on earth i went to the lobster pot opposite one night and the next day had lunch here hands on down I would say this place was 20x better value for money I would recommend the salmon salad with a strewberry cream tea to follow all very fresh food. Dogs welcome outside this place has grass and hard seating so great for people like your mum or dad even if disabled or has a Scotter. And after you finish there is a lovely short walk down a ramp to the beach (NO STAIRS HERE) some rocks at bottom but this is at the very bottom. I would recommend this place to anyone run by lovely friendly staff would know what they sell and are great with kids...

Nothing I can add that hasn't already been said. Lovely food, great friendly service and in a really nice location. Had lunch, walked the coastal path a ways . Then returned and had coffee and cake before heading home. One thing worth mentioning. The pay and display car park, take change, as although it's supposed to take card payments, that part didn't work and there is zero phone reception, so couldn't pay that way either, which is annoying to say the least. £6.00 for 4hrs and it's not fair to expect the cafe to change notes for folks. What should happen is the car park owner should fix the chuffin machine. Road pirates!

Lovely setting on a sunny day. Plenty of outdoor seating. Friendly staff. Car park pay and display (£1.50 for 1 hour). Scones were delicious and huge! Only issue I had was difficultly ordering and using facilities as a solo visitor with a dog.. dogs are not allowed inside the cafe and there is not an option to order from the table/ outside. Luckily my dog is friendly (although isn’t a big fan of being left) and a kind server held her outside for me whilst I ordered, so not a major problem for me, but would be tricky for anyone with a less friendly dog, or on a busy day when no one around to help.

What a lovely place in a great location. The weather was a bit cool outside and rain was threatening so we sat inside. Fabulous menu and we had coffee and two different filled baguettes with a portion of chips. We found the background music too loud and we had taken a lovely table but it was next to the fresh orange juice machine which was used by staff to fulfil orders. However we will definitely return in better weather to sit outside and enjoy one, or two, of those delicious looking scones!
