We eat here as a family about 1-2 times a month. The food is very good. We have never eaten a bad meal here. They offer a Thai, an English and a childrens menu. They also know do a Sunday lunch! A very traditional pub, we always feel comfortable here. The staff are friendly. They don't serve food all day, but you can search online for the hours that they do! We called and asked if the restaurant is open and they informed us that it's open until 11PM and they still take food orders until 9PM. We arrived around 8:20PM and were informed that we can only pay cash because they had problems all day with the POS. While we were trying to decide if we have enough cash with us the waitress told us that we cannot order food anymore because the kitchen closes at 8:30PM. A fantastic independent pub serving delicious home-cooked food in generous portions for budget-friendly prices. Even my normally fussy teenage son was highly complimentary about the roast dinner we ate here today. I throughly recommend Ye Olde Royal Oak and we will undoubtedly be back again in the near future.
