Yeung Shing House — Restaurant in Wales

DISGUSTING ATTITUDE!!!!! I phoned the restaurant an hour after receiving a text saying that our order has been sent for delivery. The woman on the phone said that it has been delivered 25 minutes ago. This was at nearly 11pm. I explained to the woman that we hadn’t received anything. She put me on the phone to the delivery driver who said he has delivered it and was adamant he had delivered it to our address. Making me and my partner out to be liars arguing black and blue and swearing on his kids life because he can’t admit to a mistake! He argued until the very end that he was in the right and spoke to us disgustingly even though we explained calmly that he must have delivered it to the wrong neighbour who had taken it in. He then continued to tell everybody in the restaurant not to redeliver our food because he made a mistake that he couldn’t admit to. We understand people make mistakes. We then had an apologetic woman at the door (not that this was any of her fault) who had to deliver our food at 11pm all because of this horrible man who clearly can’t read...

This was a very disappointing night for me and my family. I have been at this restaurant twice for a family meal and it was always enjoyable. However I think it's been taken over and the service food and overall experience was poor. I ordered the table way in advance only to find that it had not been booked fortunately there was no one there so we were able to get a table for 9. There was more interest in the takeaways than it was for us. It was cold and inhospitable with the staff equally as cold and inhospitable. The waitress was ok and showed some interest but the male Chinese person gave me the impression we were a great inconvenience as opposed to valuable customers. I /we will not be utilising this place again nor by way of takeaway or sit down. Shame really because when other owners had it they made you feel welcome. Ordered large delivery meal at 1830. Informed would be hour and half to expect delivery, meal arrived at 2130, 3 hrs after order. All sweet sour ball dishes were doughy and under cooked, 3 chow mein dishes which two out of the 3 were just warm and delivered by Just Eat, strange when I placed order direct with restaurant. If I had ordered via Just Eat I would have 10% discount. The manageress was contacted when the order was delivered and the manageress/owner expressed no empathy and after apologising chuckled and hung up the call. Third time I've used this circus disguised as a restuarant and unfortunately is going from bad to worse. Look for somewhere different as the service is getting as bad as the food now, pity, first order and service was superb, dont know why the whole service is going from bad to worse.
