Foley Arms Sutton Coldfield — Restaurant in Walsall

My partner and I, have visited this pub on a few occasions now, its is one of our favourites when passing through the area we always like to stop off here at the foley because it's always lovely and clean inside and out, the staff here are on top form all the time, their menu has lots to offer, id recommended their burgers and steaks, steaks are always presented to us exactly as requested, everything is always fresh and succulent from here, their range of drinks are astonishing too, the pub is located within a lovely area surrounded by beautiful countryside fresh air too, it is great for families and Is fantastic on football days, the atmosphere is always of a jolly nature, always warm and cosy during the winter periods too, we've never had any issues here and always enjoy going back, the staff are so welcoming and hard working, they provide a fantastic service to all of its customers, Highly recommended......thank-you to all you guys at the Foley and can't wait to see you again soon....

Not impressed at all. Being as out visit was on a Friday we booked ahead to be sure. We were told that there would be a 30 minute wait as they had an large booking being served. So we waited and our starters arrived. My bufalow cauliflower was. Crunchy and tasteless. By the time we were half way through our starters our main meals arrived. We had ordered two steaks medium rare and one well done. We were given the wrong meals which fortunately noticed before my wife cut into a chared mainly rare and very gristley steak which was mine, one. End well done and the other almost rare which by the time we were ready for it had started to cool down. By the time we had eaten our main meal our plates were collected. At no time were we asked if we wanted more to drink? We left before our sweet course as I didn't want to risk that as well. I'll give them another chance. Let's hope next time we get a...

We were in the area and decided to give this pub a try. Wasn't overly busy when we arrived but there seems to be ample parking. Nice outdoor area, but we ended up taking a booth which had a TV in it! Great touch! A drink, good company and the footy being on in the booth, what more did we need!? ..... aaaah yes food!!! Seeing as most of the group was vegetarian, it was nice to see so many veggie options! But sadly they were out of veggie burgers but were happy to talk about alternatives. Food soon arrived and everyone had a hearty meal. Sadly the nachos weren't finished, but they looked more like something you'd throw together at home. Yet, the rest of the dishes were pretty tasty. Wouldn't say it was cheap, but it was a fair price for what you got so no complaints there. All in all a nice pub to visit if your in the area! I'll defo be popping by again, got to try the veggie...
