One to avoid I'm afraid. I ordered on the app, to collect via the drive-thru. The Drive-thru queue was painfully slow (15mins+), as it turned out they only had 1 person collecting and packing the orders (with a pile up at the bottom of the shoot). Having collected our order, on opening the bag I was disappointed not only with the presentation (the Big Mac looked like it had been thrown together by my 1 year old, and the milkshake was watery in consistency. But the customisations hadn't been added (+ double bacon on the quarter pounder (paid for) and minus gherkins, and additional gherkins on the big mac), so I requeued through the drive-thru, for a further 10-15 mins :-( only to be told (after the staff member consulted with the manager):
"Sorry but we can only process what comes through on the app, if the app doesn't inform us we can do anything about it".
I asked who I should complain to and was told "McDonalds", as which point I pointed out the logos and branding everywhere, and said well I am complaining to McDonalds and to the people who are taking my money, to which I was told, "sorry there's nothing we can do about it, you'll have to speak to the app team" (???).
As a franchise taking my money I would expect this outlet to sort out any problems and for THEM to take it up with the McDonalds app developers, not to point blank refuse to assist their customers.
Very poor...
Read moreThe 1 star is for one of the "little" manager in there who thinks he's "big". Not reffering to his physical qualities, I would never, but his customer service levels can be surpassed by my 3 year old. We ordered a cheeeburger, no onion no pickles, for our daughter. It came through their till as no patty no onion. One of the servers there, she was amazing, saw me waiting at the till to ask for a new one. She took my cheeseburger and asked for a new one. Just remember, this cheeseburger was for our 3 year old, waiting on her food. The manager came to our table saying a million times that "he understands the confusion, but is our fault. It's our fault. It's our fault, is not him... " just in case you didn't understand.. "It's your fault, it's your fault".It wasn't even about whose fault it is, we just asked for a replacement, and they're countless way to do this: you explain, you find a resolution and you move on...even if it was OUR FAULT. The server was really nice, I can't remember her name, I am so sorry, but she remembered our daughter's name from a few months before, great customer service from her, and her colleagues. The staff in there, generally, is amazing, food is coming out in a few minutes and they still apologize for the wait. Mr. "Manager", I don't usually do this, but thought about changing jobs? Is our favourite McDonald's, you kind of...

My partner has a severe allergy to nuts & eggs! Therefore it is important none of these foods are in his meals! The first time he visited for breakfast he specifically asked for a sausage and bacon McMuffin and to REMOVE the egg, the rude guy who was on the drive thru at the time simply had no clue about good customer service as his tone was disgusting, he didn’t seem to understand such a simple request and was therefore getting agitated over it. After he finally established what my partner wanted it turns out that the breakfast which clearly had a sticker saying ‘no egg’ actually DID have egg in after all!! My partner drove all the way back home which isn’t a short journey and realised this!! It’s so lucky he did not eat it as things could have gone very badly! The 2nd time we visited we ordered a big tasty with no burger sauce (again because of the egg!) well surprise surprise, we left and when we went to go eat our food my partners burger was covered in burger sauce! Even though the box again had a label stating this wasn’t in it!!! Someone is not checking the food and just clearly sticking the labels on! What’s the point!! Managers please re train your staff to stop being lazy, it’s so important to get these things right in a restaurant, it shouldn’t happen twice! It could...
