This was our first visit to Harvester as it was on our way home from a long trip. We booked a table online and as there were no hosts greeting us inside we decided to sit at one of the empty tables and wait to order. We also heard lots about the salad bar so whilst waiting to order we took one salad bowl for our hungry 2 year old. How silly were we to be ESCORTED out of the table, called THIEVES in front of our child and the public by a staff member Alice. All this without even touching the 2 tomatoes, 2 slices of cucumber and 1 bread roll (as that’s the max of what our child could eat)… I am all for paying for mistakes (we did not know the rules of the salad bar…) but after pointing it to Alice she continued apologising to myself (as I was the “calm” one) but refused to apologise to my husband stating that she had rightly called him a thief (of 2 cherry tomatoes, 2 slices of cucumber and a bread roll..). I have dined in many places before but never have I ever experienced such a poor customer service, such a poor conduct in general. I do not think that this career is for Alice as she is clearly letting the whole team down (I believe having read the comments, that I am not the first one naming this person as someone with a very poor customer service). So perhaps avoid whenever Alice is on shift as your experience in Garston may be negatively affected.
