New Home Pizza (Watford) — Restaurant in Watford

I'd give 0 star if I could. Ordered via Uber eats which was accepted, being made and "on its way" rather quickly. After an hour, it still hadn't arrived so I called the restaurant to request an update.. To only then be told that Noone had bothered to check the screen because it hadn't printed and it wasn't even made, and it was all Ubers fault!!! And then to be offered to cancel the order?! I ordered food for a reason - to be fed!

The guy on the phone gave poor customer service, no understanding whatsoever and told me that he'd "try to get it sorted", not good enough. I want it sorted and delivered like promised. When it eventually arrived, I checked the order while the delivery driver was there and everything seem to be there. I opened the pizza box and found that it hadn't even be cut. I sliced it myself and went to pick it up to then have it break and flop back into the box. The dough was undercooked, floppy and raw, and the pizza itself was tasteless. The only tasty thing that had arrived was the premade bought dip pots 🙄

I got through a few bites of the pizza and gave up and moved on to the cheesecake to then find that it was STILL FROZEN

Wow.

If you can't be bothered to cook food and deliver properly to customers with half a decent customer service then I'd suggest you don't have a restaurant at all.

First and last time ordering from...

One of the worst experiences I have ever had!!! I ordered a triple burger meal deal, simple and straightforward. I waited one hour before trying to contact the restaurant, of which I was put on hold and virtually completely ignored for 15 minutes before hanging up and calling straight back. To which I was shouted at by a rude man and again brushed to one side. I was courteous to provide them an additional 30 mins, to which I called back again - the 3rd time. At least this person had the courage to apologise and reassured me the food was on its way. So I waited an additional 30 mins. About 2 and a half hours later... I phone back... and they say it will be with me in 5 mins. FINALLY!!!! The longest I have had to wait for a takeaway in years and years. The food was stone cold when it did eventually show, and the chips were simply inedible - just like cardboard. What an absolutely appaling show of unprefessionalism and lack of empathy. And a severe shortcoming in its poor quality of food. No one should have to wait 2.5 - 3 hours for a takeaway!!! Absolutely dreadful , I DO NOT recommend this place at all. I DEMAND A REFUND FOR WASTING MY TIME!!! And I would like a confirmation of acknowledgment to this review, a reply back, and a personal...

My partner and I have never had a problem with this place nor their drivers. I just had a horrible ordeal with an aggressive argumentative incompetent driver and I've made a complaint through uber Eats as well as calling the restaurant. My partner also called the restaurant. The restaurant tells both of us that it is not a driver from their restaurant and rather a driver from uber Eats. This restaurant uses drivers from their restursnt like it states while waiting for your order. Also, if it was an uber Eats driver I would have all their details like their name and picture! I appreciate that the restaurant apologised over the phone but it seemed like they didn't want to deal with it so my partner explained to them himself what had happened. I'm shocked by his behaviour, it was uncalled for. By the time that was all over I had stale cold food to eats which I had unfortunately paid for. Won't buy from them again because I know they use their own staff as drivers, and I never want this man sent to...
