I would not visit this restaurant again. Save your money.
Where should I start? We booked a table of 7. We hadn't even been 10 mins yet and the manager came to our table saying, we need to take a table away which would of left us space for 4 people. The table was already too small there was only space for 6 people. She gave no explanation as to why she suddenly needed to take a table away. We had a high chair so we just about managed with a table of 6. She then proceeded to take a table away from the people next to us making them squash up together. This then left us with hardly any space to come in and out freely to go to the buffet which was very annoying given the amount of times you get up when at a buffet restaurant.
We asked if there were facilities to change our baby's nappy. The waiter said no, but we have womans toilet. We went in with our pram to attempt to change a nappy but there wasn't enough space.
While we were still eating a waiter put the bill on our table. We did not ask for it. They continuously kept staring at us as if we asked for the bill and wanted to leave soon. The manager then came, while we were still finishing our dessert, and asked if we would like to pay with cash or card. We hadn't even been there for our allotted time.
We were so disgusted with our service that we asked to speak to the manager only to find out it was the staff member who was giving us the rubbish service. She proceeded to be rude, condescending and basically said if you're booking a restaurant and coming with kids you should come and have a look at it first and check if you're happy with it. She also said next time you should book a 5 star restaurant. When we mentioned the bill being put on our table she suggested that was normal and that they do that while customers are still eating.
Her attitude was the worse part. She was speaking over us and didn't want to listen to her paying customers.
The food was also disappointing. Most of it was cold, the chicken was dry, the naan bread was very hard - just a few of the issues.
We booked this restaurant for my sister's birthday and it was such a...
Read moreOur visit to the Indian Sizzler restaurant in Watford on January 5, 2023, was profoundly disappointing, marking it as the most unsatisfactory dining experience in my lifetime. With a background in the UK hospitality industry for several years, I was genuinely surprised by the notable lack of professionalism.
Upon entry, a hostess, wearing a hijab, hastily ushered us inside, citing the need to close the door due to the cold. Unaware of this, we communicated our intention to dine in and enjoy the buffet. The purported person in charge, a second lady, displayed a deficiency in basic customer service skills, offering neither a greeting nor a smile. The servers, reluctant to disclose their names, silently seated us, providing no information.
Navigating the buffet for starters, mains, and desserts proved challenging due to the absence of guidance. At the dessert corner, we unintentionally helped ourselves to a brownie, only to face reprimand from the ice cream counter attendant.
Our departure was marred by the impolite intervention of the evening's incharge, who bluntly stated, "I need this table," lacking any courtesy. Attempts to seek clarification from the cashier regarding the manager were futile, as the hostess claimed no manager was present that day.
Upon discovering a one-hour time limit for the buffet, we inquired about where this information was stated, receiving no satisfactory response. The ensuing conversation was heated and disrespectful, with the acting manager refusing to provide evidence of the time limit.
The staff's lack of kindness was further underscored as they chuckled and suggested booking a table next time when we turned to leave. Despite not seeking compensation, my purpose in crafting this review is to alert potential customers to the discourteous treatment we endured. I encourage the restaurant to review CCTV footage for validation and reconsider their approach to...

I am here right now (I wish I was in the Jungle with Ant and Dec! The food would have been 5 star!)
Upon arrival, 5 of us were seated on a table suitable for less. I expressed this to Manisha (apparently a mamager) and she told me that it is all they have for us. Arrogant and down right lacking in customer service. We are told that all other tables are booked. I told Manisha that I will mention this in my review.
Within a minute of being seated we are hounded for a drinks order.
Manisha is back! We are moved to another table. Miraculous how a table is now free?
Again there seems to be a rush. Is the restaurant closing 30 minutes after opening for someones funeral? We are asked twice if qe want to order starters. So, starter's ordered and encouraged to order mains at the same time. I refuse and just go with starters and what an omen!
The Orea milkshakes we ordered 25 minutes ago arrives one after the other with a 15 minite gap and reminder from me. Thus one guest had to wait quiet some time.
Starters arrive fairly quickly and now we know why.... This is NOT Indian food. There are better meals availble at Morrisons. Prawns are served in a cup and bland. The chops are lacking in any authentic Indian flavour. The Honey chicken is doused in a jar-like sauce and lacking Indian flavour. Masala chips are made for non-indians. Chips where a mush of lord knows what.
The food is pathetic! It stands to reason as the restaurant is fully booked... Not many Indians here. Guess why?
Do not eat here.
Thet gave me bill for £95 and did not even bother to address my concerns. Check your bill as they over charged me and this was rectified.
By the way...Dryer in ladies does not work. Flush half broken.
As you can see, this is NOT an authentic experience. It's cheap tatty food with dire service.
Rant over. Off to Mcdonalds after a hefty £95 bill for starters we...
