Visited this afternoon (sunny bank holiday) lots of free tables so we were pleased. Went to the bar and was told that someone would be out to take out order. Staff came out repeatedly and served other tables. Served two table that came after us and just ignored us. We waived, tried to make eye contact and were completely ignored. Finally, after 30 minutes hubby went to bar and discussed this with a member of staff who diverted us to someone else to take our order. They took the order but told him it would be a while and to go and sit back down. A further 15 minutes later drinks finally arrived, hubby expressed to waiter it was too long to which he apologised but completely dismissed his apology when he made a sarcastic remark and told hubby he was only human! Hubby pint was cloudy and tasted like chlorine, so after 45 mins we were served bad drinks. No staff around in garden so I took it back to the bar where 3 staff members where. They completely ignored me (only one other customer at bar) until the other customer asked me if I was returning the Stella too cos it was off- just like his. Only then did a staff member pour another pint, handed it to me without an apology.
We were with you over an hour to buy one round of drinks. Tudor Arms we came here for a family meal and would have happily purchased another 3 or 4 Rounds over the course of our meal. You lost out on our custom tonight and the staff attitude would put me off returning. What happened to pub that used to welcome...

We stopped for lunch today. The pub has a pretty beer garden and the pub staff were nice and helpful. Food was a disappointment. We ordered a beef Sunday roast and the beef was overcooked (though someone might like it this way). We also ordered a veggie Sunday Roast: it was supposed to be a butternut squash beetroot and potato pie. At first the pie simply did not come with the meal, they brought a plate of veg only, so we had to recall it. When the pie arrived we realised that it was a curried pie, probably without butternut squash, which was in itself ok, but did not go well with the roasted vegetable. You don't mix curry with Sunday roast... The veggie roast came with no gravy, i guess they could have made some onion gravy at least... We ordered some coli-flower cheese which was really not good as the sauce was a bit vinegary, maybe they added too much mustard. On a good note, the mash potato was 5 stars, excellent. Nice place, nice staff, but...
