I went with my sister 2 hours ago to get a takeaway, just interested in chinese for my family. The staff were quite nice except a lady with glasses giving my little sister rude looks. The food was around 10/15 mins. We ordered the chicken chow main, sweet and sour chicken and special fried rice. When we finally ate the chicken chow main it was the nicest thing out of the three but was quite dry. The fried rice was not nice at all along with the sweet and sour chicken. If tasted like something was off and left a weird after taste in our mouths, I am not coming here again! Due to the amount I spent and how much I love chinese food is the reason why i’m reviewing, for others coming to uni and trying new places in Farnham just look out.

Vince and the team at Lucky Star hosted my Dad’s surprise 80th Birthday yesterday and it was superb. From the early stages of organising with Vince (who is SO lovely), nothing was too much trouble and he was really helpful and accommodating. On the night the staff were great; really attentive and friendly. There was plenty of food and it was excellent quality too. They were also really helpful and careful to cater for guests with nut allergies too!!! Everyone had a REALLY great evening and made this celebration one to remember for all the right reasons!! Thank You Vince and the team - we will certainly be back 🄰🄰 xx

Lucky Star is a hidden gem for authentic Chinese food! It’s usually very quiet when dining in, but it’s absolutely worth visiting—especially on Sundays for the buffet. We always go all in on the starters, getting a mix of everything before moving on to the duck and pancakes, which are always perfectly cooked and delicious. The food arrives hot and fast, and the staff are super kind, always on hand for refills or clearing up. We’ve been coming here for years and will definitely keep coming back! Highly recommend.

This was our first take away for 2 years and a farewell meal for a family member returning back to Spain from the Christmas break.

This was a disappointing effort and we are a family that enjoys a takeaway in general.

The chicken starter and the three other chicken dishes we ordered we stringy , indicating that this was frozen chicken and it had way to much moisture in the chicken. Therefore Chewy.

The smoked shredded chicken was anything but smoke or shredded. Instead it was tasteless and this is a firm family favourite which is often fought over to finish.

The Lamb and ginger dish simply did not taste right and my dad who seldom complains , did, even he stopped at the first mouthful.

Having lived on Weydon lane in the past this restaurant was known to me on reputation but failed to live up to its past success as Bon East.

Not to be completely negative, the sesame prawn toast , seaweed, egg fried rice and crispy beef were very good.

At £84 for a takeaway this was really poor for such a spend and a large amount went into the bin. Being one of the only Chinese restaurants in the area it has failed to capture the market to deliver a quality take away.

As it’s s take away this review is key as I am not in the restaurant to say something which I would have. At the point of is everything ok when you eat out , it would have been no. A take away doesn’t allow for this feedback.

Order No....

Absolutely Terrible. Avoid like the plague.

This restaurant used to be so good but it has hit rock bottom after a change of management. We've been getting takeaways and eating out there since 2006 and never had any problem. Alas, no more. It is shockingly bad but still very expensive.

This evening's takeaway was absolutely awful. £60 wasted and only a couple of dishes even edible.

First, the appalling lack of consistency: two Singapore Noodle portions ordered - one was perfectly ok, the other completely colourless and tasteless. It's hard to imagine how they managed to do that.

Then, the inedible food: Shredded beef with almost no sauce and completely without flavour. Mixed vegetables coated with what seemed like butter or some other unknown fat, inedible. Deep fried Aubergine coated in a hideous, flavourless brown/grey matter that should have been a light, golden batter. Spare ribs drowning in an overpowering indigestible sauce. Udon noodles that tasted and smelled simply foul.

The only dish that was almost ok was the crispy duck. Hard to screw that one up, I guess.

This is a travesty of a business takeover. So, to the new owner, whoever you are, you have absolutely ruined what was a good restaurant and have most likely wasted the considerable amount of money you must have paid for what was a very successful and locally-regarded business. Nothing but shameful incompetence.

We shall never darken your...

Great food, take aways are usually fabulous. However! (And I’m not one to complain or leave reviews), myself and my good lady popped into the restaurant last week for a meal, and were basically taken advantage of which I’m greatly disappointed about, the restaurant really let themselves down. We were served a mixed starter, barely big enough for one (we’re not 15 stone fast food whales either). I assumed at the time it was for one until the bill arrived and we were charged Ā£20. It was not about the money, it’s the principle - perhaps with the restaurant being very quiet after Easter, they were trying to get the till up. The lady in charge was not prepared to provide any remuneration. What made me laugh is that the young lad serving even said he was surprised at how little food there was. Very short sighted of the restaurant considering our loyal custom in the past. We were also a very unwell for several days, but I can’t say for certain if it was the restaurant but most likely. I’d save your money and eat elsewhere in Farnham. (And cue restaurant - the menu clearly states xyz - it doesn’t, and you...
