Terrible food with terrible service. Ordered 2 medium chips to get home to find them cold and with a bad texture. Made my way back and explained to Boy 1 of my issue. Boy 1 then ignored me, walked around the back, came back and then picked up the phone that started ringing. Boy 2 then asked me if I was ok. I explained I was talking to boy 1 but my chips were bad. He then got the manager who told me they couldn't be bad as they were cooked 5/10mins ago. Explaining that they were and I may of got the batch before, she then angrily packed me 2 chips. Boy 2 explained to her I had salt and vinegar, the manager said to him "if he wants salt and vinegar, he can do it at home". Boy 2 handed me the chips, so I asked if I have to do salt and vinegar at home. "Yes" was his response. Make the journey and go into town for fish and chips, this shops standards have dropped significantly. And yes, the chips that were served the second time, were just as bad...

Driven past here hundreds of times but this evening my son asked if we could get some chips - as a treat I thought why not! Wish we hadn’t - chips were hard and dry (had probably been kept warm for ages) and slightly bitter (probably due to the cooking oil in need of changing). Most frustratingly I was curtly told “we don’t take card payments under £10” Really? It’s 2023 for goodness sake & long gone are any heavy charges on retailers levied by banks for taking debit card payments. The chap who sells coffee from a van near where I work will joyfully (and prefers to) take card payments for a couple of pounds. So, I had to (and seemed to be expected to) round up my £8.80 order to £10 just for the privilege of buying these awful chips. Bad impression of this place and safe to say won’t be returning. Kingfish by the Station sets a good standard round here. Sorry Jade Palace, you need to do so much better if you want...

Some of my favourite fish and chips to have after a day of work. It’s a joy seeing for my family have it for dinner and the delivery is always faster than expected, even ordering at the counter the service is amazing :)). There chinese is even better though😍. They have amazing chefs and the menu seems to be endless. I highly recommend egg fried rice, it includes prawns and chicken with the the rice, definitely a great dish to try first. If your not a fan of the rice another mouth watering starter are the dumplings. There are also lots of healthy options on their menu which i would recommend. Hope you enjoy Jade...
