Shockingly slow service. The meal was tiny for what I paid. Tea tasted more like water then tea. Watched one guy get his meal. Got up to get salt and one of the waiters put a napkin on it and took it away. He only had one bite out of it... my 9 year old niece could do a better job and I might even get a smile. Worst hospitality... a business run by kids!!! How do you have a 5* on food hygiene... was so disappointed in the meal. My sausages were cold. Beans were cold. Mushrooms were still hard. Asked for white toast got brown. Somebody needs to teach these kids how to cook. How to serve with a smile. And at least look like they want to be there. 7 staff working. A delightful escape from the corporate tasting fast food in the area. Family run, with a team who are not only adept, but proud of their café, offering one of the best morning 'fry ups' in the county! Clean and well presented facilities with easy access from the Polegate roundabout. Just a few metres past McD's or the Treacle Mine. We'll worth the visit and a great place to 'park-yer-bark,' with fresh water bowls to greet your favourite, as well as lots of green grass areas in back of the car park, where your resident woof can check their all important 'wee-mail' and do any urgent 'downloading.' Ive been here multiple times and its always been good but today was just awful. I ordered the Big Bite Breakfast but was sorely disapointed with the quantity of food on the plate. It looked like a table spoon of beans and maybe just one potato for the Sautes. Which i could count (11) I was forced to smother this in ketchup due to the lack of natural sauces. After taking a bite from a sausage. Shivers run up my spine as i genuinely felt sickened by the Cold Cold Cold piece of meat in my mouth.
