Could Title this review "Sign in required "as Every 5 minutes we had to do just that for the "Free"Wi-Fi, Is Anything Ever Truly FREE ??? Anyway got to Check in half an hour early which was great as we'd been up since 7am the previous morning 🌄 and had a Ferry journey followed by 7 -8 hrs of driving then Another 6hrs killing time before trying to check in, Room was clean, sadly overlooking a busy entrance road to other services, garage and a drive through restaurant etc etc but price wise very good 👍 and the Hotel restaurant just across the car park was 5 star, friendly staff, great service, prices and choices, nice atmosphere too not brash and modern but like a real welcoming old countryside pub, couldn't really find any fault here and we dined here several times, beds were comfortable but the pillows were Dreadful and caused us unrest, shower was very good 👍 but beware bath is very high if you have any mobility issues, all in all a good place and certainly be returning soon!

NO AIR CON. Personally never stayed in a premier inn that doesn’t have air con so this came as a shock. Room was unbearably hot, no air coming from the window as it doesn’t open wide enough. A fan is provided but honestly you cannot feel it. The photo attached is the thermostat in the room
29 degrees at 9:30pm! Also I don’t know if they have double rooms downstairs, however we booked a room with a cot so obviously have an infant yet we were given a room upstairs (no lift) and right at the end of the corridor, so basically the furthest from the front door you could possibly get. Not good. Travel cot had crumbs in the corners, wouldn’t of taken long for someone to clean
We were booked in to stay two nights but have decided to go home after first night as we and baby had virtually no sleep in this sweat box. DO NOT STAY IN SUMMER!!!

Had a really lovely stay apart from some late night noise from the "Walton's" family shouting goodnight to each other at midnight. Rooms are basic but clean. Shower curtain was a bit smelly but the shower was fine. Location isn't idyllic but it is a functional hotel. Staff were really helpful & The Treacle mine next door was a great place to eat. Good place for a stopover.

For a Premier Inn this place is very expensive. ÂŁ164 (did include 1 breakfast) for one night only. This was for a work visit and personally I wouldn't pay that to stay at this hotel for my own leisure. The room I stayed in smelt very damp and fousty. The smell of urine as I entered the room hit me like a brick wall. After the issue I had on checking in I wasn't in the frame of mind to complain as I knew this hotel was fully booked according to their website so I want going to get a different room. Good quality aftershave and the large room fan sorted this in a few minutes. Prior to checking in there was a problem with the Premier Inn booking portal leading to some business customers having to pay on arrival. In my case I had to use my personal credit card because the receptionist couldn't contact the person who raised the booking to complete payment. 3 hours from home and after a long shift and all I wanted to was get in the room. Some of the staff were very helpful, Barry couldn't do enough to help me as the previous evening I forgot to get a receipt for the payment and he had to tackle the computer due to their system playing up or running slow. After I checked out he also let me back in the room as I'd left my coffee cup on the desk in the room. He actually made the stay a little more bearable on this occasion. I wouldn't recommend this hotel at this price point when you can go to another hotel nearby for little over a third of the price, or another Premier Inn outside Eastbourne for a little over half. Out of all the Premier Inn rooms I've stayed in, this room is probably the worst, due to poor decor (black grout in tiles made the shower feel very dirty) , initial aroma...

We stayed in Premier Inn Eastbourne, Polegate as we were down at the Stockcar racing at Arlington on Saturday night. The room was massive, 40 inch TV (which makes a massive difference compared to some of the older Premier Inn's with the small TV's đŸ˜±), clean room, the bathroom was spotless and staff were excellent. We had amazing weather from the Saturday to the Monday which was fantastic for us as being from Scotland the weathers never great. The only problem that we had was the temperature inside the rooms...wow it was roasting, stuffy and very very uncomfortable. There was already a fan in the room that was faulty but reception staff were great and we got a decent quality looking fan from them but made no difference at all. Although we were out during the day when we went in at night the room temperature was displaying 28 degrees, that was with the windows open all day and all night. We all had a terrible nights sleep as it was so uncomfortable, it was like a furnace. I was so disappointed that this Premier inn's advertised as "new rooms" but there was no air conditioning!!! We've stayed at a few various Premier inns both in Scotland and England now and been to ones in Scotland that have air conditioning yet we get poor weather compared to England??? This really ruined our holiday as it was just not comfortable and it was even worse when we had all been for baths/showers!!! Really like premier inn's but was disappointed by...

I stayed here to attend a funeral. I could have stayed with relatives but it was full of other family mourners and I am vulnerable to Covid. Before I set off I was warned that the pub/restaurant would not be open in the evening due to staff shortages. This severely restricted my evening options - I would have liked to have eaten there outside one evening. When I arrived I was told there was no hot water - that lasted for about 24 hours and resulted in my having to shower and dress for the funeral at the nearby relative's that I had wanted to avoid. The room was insufferable hot (27C at midnight) and the fan provided was of such a budget model that it produced a lot of noise but displaced very little air. Also the extractor fan in the bathroom was loud with an irritatingly high-pitched whine. Frustratingly, I had to ask for details on how to complain and seek recompense, rather than being offered such information voluntarily. This is poor! On the plus side, the bed - as is to be expected with a Premier Inn - was comfortable and once I was able to sleep (which took a while with the heat and some boy-racers in their cars) I did so soundly. The decor was......safe in a dull fashion. A friend of mine sent me photos of her commensurate hotel in Germany which was FAR more interestingly decorated. I await a response from Premier Inn regarding my complaint and will update my review...
